Three Judges, One Terrible Week For The Regime
A court loss, a frozen media grab, thousands of paychecks saved, and fifteen homes nobody can explain
Before we jump in, I want you to know something—resistance is working.
Every day we find what Trump would rather keep quiet, and every day our coalition shares the stories to help break through the regime’s propaganda machine. Then we flood Congress over key issues, giving you the tools and making it easy to do so. It’s a machine no one can turn off, because we have no advertiser or corporate owner.

THE REGIME SUED MINNESOTA. THEY LOST.
The DOJ hauled Minnesota into federal court—the state, the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Hennepin County, AG Keith Ellison, and Sheriff Dawanna Witt—trying to dismantle the laws that keep local cops from being part of the regime’s deportation machine. On Monday, they lost every count.
Trump-appointed Judge Eric Tostrud threw the case out. He ruled that the Constitution flatly forbids the regime from forcing state and local officers to do federal immigration work. And he went further: ICE “detainers”—the paperwork ICE uses to make a local jail keep holding someone—are requests, not orders.
Minnesota is free to say no.
A JUDGE JUST FROZE THE CNN TAKEOVER
The Ellisons thought they had it in the bag: a $110 billion deal to swallow Warner Bros. and hand one billionaire family control of CBS, CNN, and two of the biggest movie studios in America. The family patriarch, Larry Ellison, is one of Trump’s biggest backers. On Monday, a federal judge told them to freeze.
Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín blocked the merger cold—for now—after twelve Democratic attorneys general, led by California’s Rob Bonta, sued to stop it.
Their case is simple: if allowed to go through, the deal would let two of the country’s five major film studios become one, while four companies end up controlling more than 80% of the movies that reach a theater. Bonta called the freeze “a critical first win.” And the longer it stays stuck, the more it hurts—a clause in Paramount’s own contract costs it about $650 million every quarter that passes without a done deal.
No family should own this much of what America sees and hears. Twelve attorneys general are trying to make sure none ever does.
A BUSH JUDGE BLOCKED TRUMP’S JOB PURGE
Starting Wednesday, tens of thousands of people working here legally were set to lose their work permits—not for breaking any rule, but because the regime wrote the change into Trump’s tax law and ran out the clock.
On Tuesday, US District Judge Nathaniel Gorton stopped it. He sided with the immigrant rights groups and labor unions who sued, and blocked the regime from pulling those permits.
George H.W. Bush put Gorton on that bench in 1992. Trump’s own party put him there. Didn’t help.
FIFTEEN HOMES ON A GOVERNMENT SALARY
Ken Paxton—the scandal-ridden Texas AG Trump wants in the US Senate—makes $153,750 a year. But public records tie his name to at least fifteen properties worth roughly $9 million total.
Houses in Texas and Florida, a cabin in Oklahoma, land in Hawaii, and three luxury condos he bought this year at a Utah resort and moved into a blind trust—all while people are struggling to even afford their grocery bills.
On Tuesday, a reporter gave Paxton a chance to explain. He refused, shut the campaign event down and walked out. He can buy fifteen homes but he can’t answer one question. November is coming.
Here’s what a decade of this has taught me: The powerful lose because somebody organizes. That’s the other half of what we do here.
We don’t just dig up the stories—we build the campaigns and hand you the tools to act on them. We’ve organized more than 795,000 letters and countless calls to Congress since November 2024, and we run a social operation that puts these wins in front of millions who’d never see them otherwise.
Everything we do runs on readers—no corporate influence, no billionaire in control of what we say. Join us as a paid subscriber today to help us keep things running through November, and you’ll also unlock today’s exclusive report on the fight to flip the House:
And before you close this: hit the ❤️ like button and restack it. Somebody in your feed still believes nothing ever changes. Show them proof that we’re winning.
Onward!
