Trump and Mike Johnson Fail to Distract From Upcoming Criminal Trial

Donald is still due in court Monday morning

Trump spent today hiding at Mar-a-Lago while Mike Johnson visited in a desperate effort to keep his job. They decided to hold a sad excuse for a press conference, speaking behind a tiny Mar-a-Lago Club sign.

Like a good stooge, Johnson nodded in agreement with every lie Donald pathologically told.

When MAGA Mike ranted about nothing important, Trump loomed behind him like a puppeteer. Which is pretty accurate.

Then, Trump took questions. Trump lied about the border. Trump lied about Gaza. Trump lied about abortion. Trump lied about Democrats. Trump lied about inflation. And Trump lied about FISA.

I won’t repeat what they said or help spread their lies.

It’s clear Trump knows his case on Monday will be referred to as an election interference trial. He kept using the term to try and combat that narrative, which seemed to be the true purpose of this charade.

They failed miserably. It was a desperate and sad attempt to distract from the fact that Trump’s first criminal trial still starts on Monday, and Mike Johnson is still at risk of losing his job. And nothing they said here today can change that.
