We won the House and the Senate last night, but Trump still has a Congress that covers for him until the new one is sworn in. These four letters make sure he doesn’t grab anything, and that the new majority knows what we expect from day one.
I sent all 4!!! Although I am in Fort Bend County, TX, and don't think my reps will actually DO anything -- but it's always worth flooding their inbox with the letters so they know EXACTLY where their constiuents stand on these issues.
The most interesting thing for me yesterday, while running 2 precincts, was how well-behaved all the voters were. In the previous few elections the local magas were uniformly belligerent and in-one's-face. Not yesterday. We had record voter attendance and everybody was polite and kind. Plus we had a few first-time voters - 2 18-year-olds, and 1 40-ish Latino gentleman. All were applauded and congratulated. It was a long, but ultimately rewarding day. And we sure are happy about the results! Now the real work begins. #BlueWave #DontbeComplacent
I am glad you had that experience but here in Amherst, NY and surrounding areas, you could definitely tell the Republicans from the Democrats. The Republicans were stone faced and did not say please or thank you. And the Republican official who worked with me first thought that it was going to be a slow day - it wasn't and he was expecting Blakeman and other Republicans to win - they didn't.
You two were fabulous last night - funny, informative and it was fun watching how stunned you were (we ALL were) as results rolled in! Incredible. Thank you!!

We didn’t give Trump and inch, but some Dem leadership certainly did. We aren’t going to tolerate ANY of that now. We will bend them. We aren’t going back to the 1990s. We’re going to change this country for good.
