Trump Can’t Handle This Great News For Us
Protest outside of an ICE field office, Crockett and Raskin fight back, maga infighting, and more
As Trump plunges further into madness, here is something brighter—great news to lift your spirits. I hope this brings you some relief among all the chaos.

On Saturday, hundreds of “Rage Against The Regime” protests are scheduled in nearly all 50 states. If you can’t make one in person, I hope you can help amplify the events on social media.
There was a demonstration in front of ICE’s field office in Dallas on Sunday, in response to allegations of inhumane conditions in detention centers. ICE, of course, denies the claims—but like one of the protesters said, that’s just “a tactic for them to gaslight us.” I’m thankful they’re speaking out.
A lawsuit was filed against the Trump regime by a dozen House Democrats for blocking members of Congress from accessing ICE detention centers.
Rep. Jamie Raskin, one of the plaintiffs, said: “This blockade of Congress … is designed to stop us from checking out reports of inhumane treatment and denial of fundamental rights to immigrants in detention. We’re going to continue to show up and demand the transparency and access that the law guarantees.”
Artist Amy Sherald, famous for painting Michelle Obama’s official portrait, has canceled her show at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery due to censorship. To appease Trump, officials considered removing her painting of a trans person posed as the Statue of Liberty.
Now, thanks to the attempted censorship, countless people have seen it. Good.
NY Gov. Kathy Hochul called for a national assault weapons ban, following the shooting at an office building in New York City on Monday. “The time to act is now. The American people are tired of thoughts and prayers. They deserve action,” Hochul said. Absolutely.
Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction, Ryan Walters, is now blaming fellow Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt for his most recent scandal. Walters is being investigated after several state school board members reported seeing inappropriate images on a TV in his office. It’s nice to hear about this sort of maga infighting.
Republicans in Texas rolled out a draft of their new congressional district map yesterday. It’s an attempt to use flood victims as a cover for gerrymandering. The proposal would split up 5 US House districts currently held by Democrats.
In response, TX Dems are raising funds to cover a $500-per-day fine (and possibly jail time), to potentially leave the state, and stall a vote on the new map. Several governors like JB Pritzker and Gavin Newsom have vowed to retaliate by redrawing districts in their states as well.
Jasmine Crockett said it best: “These maps are not about representation, it’s a power grab to silence voters and suppress votes. They know their policies are unpopular, and they are afraid of losing. So what do they try to do? Cheat.”
Crockett is absolutely right. That’s why I’ve spent decades working against Republicans at every level, while helping lead the opposition against Trump.
On top of my reporting, we use our enormous social media network to take on maga. Just yesterday, we trended the hashtag “Cancel Trump's Medicaid Cuts.” We also run one of the largest Contact Congress campaigns out there.

If Republicans gerrymander in Texas, should Democrats retaliate by redrawing districts in blue states?

Democrats, along with the citizens, need to use every tool at their disposal to fight this regime and the autocratic voter suppression tactics they are trying to employ in every state. If we do not, the country we grew up with will be unrecognizable
