KENTUCKY KILLS THE POISON WATER BILL

It started in a Kentucky hearing room with State Senator Greg Elkins and the lobbyists sitting right behind him. He was pitching SB 178, a bill that told companies, in his words, “we are open for business.”

What it actually said was much worse: SB 178 would require state regulators to prove that a company was poisoning a local water supply before anything could be done to stop it. Translation—wait until people suffer, then we’ll talk.

Audrey Ernstberger of the Kentucky Resources Council said it best, that the bill replaced “precautionary principles with a body count requirement.”

The people had the truth, and they buried Elkins under an avalanche of calls and emails. The Kentucky Waterways Alliance turned the fine print into plain English and organized the pressure campaign that killed SB 178.

The regime’s running this exact playbook in statehouses everywhere. Kentucky just wrote the manual for beating it.

A HOSPITAL THAT HATES UNIONS JUST GOT ONE

That was a bill. The next fight was against a company—McLaren Health Care, $7.3 billion in revenue, 12 hospitals, and a long record of going to war with its own employees. Last year, McLaren hauled its own nurses into federal court—just for publicly criticizing the hospital. One veteran labor lawyer called it the strangest thing he’d seen in 35 years.

So the nurses at McLaren’s Port Huron hospital knew exactly what they were up against. They also knew Trump had spent a year rigging the deck—gutting the federal board that’s supposed to protect workers, then packing it with his own people.

The nurses organized. On May 29, they voted to form their union.

Nurse Breahna Snay: “It is a relief that we will finally have a voice.” Nurse aide Jeremy Wittmer: “We knew it would be an uphill battle.” A $7.3 billion corporation, a union-busting record, and the Trump regime all lined up to stop them. They won anyway. Good.

SCOTT PELLEY REFUSES TO BOW

The most famous newsroom in America just got gutted from the top—and the regime’s counting on everyone being too scared to say so out loud.

Bari Weiss, the “anti-woke” blogger installed to run CBS News, spent the last week on a firing spree so brutal that staff started calling it Black Thursday. She fired executive producer Tanya Simon—daughter of CBS legend Bob Simon—along with correspondents Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega.

This is the trend since David Ellison—a Trump ally who honored the president at a private dinner—took control of CBS’s parent company.

Here’s what they didn’t count on. During a staff meeting to introduce the new handpicked executive producer, Scott Pelley—one of the most trusted journalists in America—looked his new boss dead in the eye and said Weiss is “murdering 60 Minutes. She does not love this place. She was brought in to kill it, and she’s been doing exactly that.” The room broke into applause.

Pelley knew what it would cost him. Tuesday night, they fired him for cause—ending a nearly 40-year career. They thought it would scare everyone else into line. Instead it proved him right in front of the whole country.

They can fire a reporter, but they can’t fire the truth—and no corporate hatchet job will ever reach a newsroom like ours, because I answer to you, not to them.

TRUMP’S SLUSH FUND COLLAPSES

Lobbyists, a hospital chain, a media baron—all beaten back. But the biggest bully of them all was once again Trump himself. And no matter how the regime tries to spin it, he just backed down big time.

Late last week, a federal judge froze Trump’s $1.776 billion slush fund. A second judge started digging into the IRS deal that created it. Then Trump caved, saying he’ll drop the fund rather than fight for it. Turns out paying off the Jan 6 mob is a tough sell.

Before one cent went out the door, public pressure stopped one of the most corrupt schemes in US history cold. They’ll try again. Count on it. But right now? We won.
