Hi Scott - I posted a tome on here Sunday with my complaints about what's wrong with tRumplandia. It was a letter I sent to my Congress people. I promised a followup with concrete suggestions for us to win the day in November. Here it is:
So, this is the followup to my letter Sunday. These are my suggestions for a cohesive and aggressive strategy by the Democrats to win as big a majority in both houses of Congress and as manyState Legislature seats as humanly possible in November.
A high-level convocation of the 2 Congressional Democratic Caucuses + the Democratic Governors and at least some of the Democratic State Constitutional Officers. This grouping should be charged with coming up with a 50-state plan for for the Midterms and an implementation plan. I am ignoring the DNC because it has been feckless and impotent for years. It can be done as a series of rapid-fire Zoom meetings. They need to come up with the talking points that all the Democrats need to hammer home through the election.
We need a small, close cadre of high-profile spokespeople for our side. They need to be scheduled, their messages need high-profile social media and MSM placement, and they need to be made highly visible up to the election. I recommend: Pete Buttigieg, AOC, Bernie Sanders, Josh Shapiro, J.B. Pritzker, Kathy Hochel, Gavin Newsom, Jasmin Crockett, Chris Murphy, Jon Ossoff, and Raphael Warnock. And you could interpolate some of our younger, charismatic high-profile candidates as spokesman for a day. We must show the younger face of our Party - the people with skin in the game who have to live with the policies they are helping to shape and are obviously competent. This part will take some money - for staffing and an accomplished PR/Media-Placement firm.
We need to light a fire under the State Democratic Parties. I cannot speak about other states, but our State Party in Georgia seems to be all but invisible. We need Voter Registration Drives and Get Out the Vote Drives.
We need a plan to reach out to the politically apathetic and find out what would get them out to vote - particularly for our side - and do something about it.
We need to be seen as fighting for ordinary Americans including the undocumented. We need a strong anti-Oligarch message. And we need to come down on the side of getting big money out of our politics.
We need to harp away at the grotesque corruption of tRump, his cronies, The Oligarchs, and the foreign actors trying to sway our election.
Y’all need to get out in front of real people - town halls. And, you need to schedule some of them in the districts of rethugs too cowardly to go face their voters. Watch videos of some of the ones Pete Buttigieg is holding. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. Treat it with thought, coordination, and energy. America needs you!
And finally, y’all need to talk and listen to each other. The Democrats in Congress can no longer afford to be 261 cats all running in 261 separate directions. We must agree on a course and move together if we are to win the day.

I’m on the Board of Directors for KDLL in Kenai Alaska. Public radio here is critical across the state for emergency broadcasting and news coverage in our small communities. The support is overwhelming. We told our members what we needed to replace and they stepped up—our communities are about 20k people. We even got a check from a famous NPR personality—direct to KDLL! we suspect due to the show that John Oliver did. We see you NPR, and are thrilled to know we matter to the top too—down to the smallest struggling station!
The resistance is handing the regime real losses, one community, one courtroom, and one donation at a time. November is coming and momentum is on our side.
Palantir has their ‘hands’ in our defense, IRS, DHS and SSA data (they don’t store it, but they provide the API’s that connect all of it). Virtually no one mentions this when discussing state voter data that the DOJ is suing for. For the states that ‘obeyed in advance’, like Ohio, DOJ will have the means to connect the dots for voter suppression like we’ve never seen!
I posted that remark of mine with the link to Blundell‘s article on another Substack article. Someone said it’s a good thing to be able to look at people‘s license plates and verify them. Maybe one little thing is good but the rest, don’t think so. I wondered if you’d mind if I copy your excellent post above to that person with the things she should be worried about?

I'm sitting in the ridiculous cold at my rural VA polling place, at our VOTE YES for temporary redistricting table. We're 70% red. We depend on getting ALL our blue voters out (most Dems vote early, so the polling locations are skewed MAGA). It's a hard place to sit.
We need our high-density areas blue voters to show up today. 🙏🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼
Fingers crossed people will realize that their vote will do its part in saving democracy and in stopping this awful regime. I wrote postcards to get out the vote so I am cheering for Virginians to do the best thing!!

When Musk is approaching being a trillionaire and doesn’t think he should have to pay taxes there is something seriously wrong! Public services (and I think public tv is a service) should not have to rely on the whims of the morbidly rich.

One can only imagine that because Megyn Kelly presumably enjoys sports in some manner, she thinks that she owns athletes 24/7/365, and that means "Sports and sports only, 24/7/365".
After all, Trump has the job he has now BECAUSE people were stupid enough to consider him to be a GREAT builder, as well as having GREAT political insights, making him a GREAT politician! HARHARHARHAR...
