Let’s start with the fact that we can all celebrate the end of the Republican National Convention. We won’t have to see anything like this for four more years.
The final speaker at the RNC was Donald Trump, and of course all he did was disappoint. After days of Trump falling asleep during speeches, it was his turn to take the stage.
They attempted to honor the innocent father Corey Comperatore who was killed at his rally. Instead, Trump hugged and kissed Comperatore’s firefighting uniform which was on a mannequin. It was grotesque.
With the audiences’ fists raised in anger, Trump took the stage after Hulk Hogan (the racist king of fake wrestling), a terrible, rage-filled performance by Kid Rock, and the head of Ultimate Fighting Championship Dana White.
Trump’s a guy who came inches from death, and instead of introspection his response is exploiting his story for political gain.
Trump clearly didn’t write the speech that he was reading like a robot staring at the teleprompter. It was emotionless, like a third grader forced to present a book report in front of the class. But it wasn’t long before the ranting and raving lunatic came out, and turned the whole thing into another Trump hate rally.
Donald promised a speech that would evoke unity, said he wanted to inspire optimism and bring the country together. But the truth is, he can never do that for most Americans. Trump attacked Democrats and acted like they are to blame for his indictments.
The Donald went straight back into claiming witch hunts, called Nancy Pelosi “crazy,” lied saying he would finish the wall he already mostly built, lied saying Biden cheated to win the election, said he did a great job with Covid, and lied about inflation. He used the line “drill baby drill,” talked about his good friend Hannibal Lecter, El Salvador burgers, and other nonsense. And of course he went into his normal hate-filled anti-immigrant rant.
Despite what was promised by Republicans in a moment when unity was so desperately needed, the themes of this horrible convention were all about anger and fighting. Trump has not changed, he never will. And neither will MAGA.
We were not fooled by Trump’s fake speech this evening, like most of the mainstream media is. It’s a disgrace. With one of the largest social media reaches in politics, we can fight against the the media’s propaganda machine, and you can help us by becoming a paid subscriber today:

My favorite part was when it was over
I couldn't bring myself to watch any of the RNC, let alone listen to him talk!
