The new Congress is less than two months away, and the House votes on Pete Hegseth this week. Three of these are close to their next goal. Each takes about 30 seconds and goes straight to your members of Congress.

All 4. Trump is hitting back promoting that sicko Miller. Trump is going down, is demented and will try any illegal manner of things to keep hold of power. I hope enough Republicans see that continuing to back him, who throws even his stauchist supporters under the bus, will hurt them more than Democrats. We must keep watch. Jeffries should not be speaker. Can't that be stopped? But thank you Scott and Sam and all for your hard work.

I’m sitting here thinking about every person who kept going when it felt pointless. This is what that looks like. Not perfect. Not finished. But real. And we’re still here for the next part.

Still counting in Mississippi. Still fighting in DC. Still not done. Glad you’re here.

Looking like Colom has Mississippi, hope so! THAT is poetic justice and karma at it's best. Let's be diligent and cut off every little stinkin' ploy the R's come up with. Rather like a video game and now WE have the controller!

Not only should the Arch be STOPPED permanently, but the funding for his other vanity projects should be pulled and given to projects we NEED, like health care and housing for veterans. How we treat these brave men and women is shameful.

Absolutely agree with you Joan!!!!

“If there is no struggle, there is no progress….Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one….Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” - Frederick Douglass

This truth played out this week. The struggle will continue. We will continue to prevail.

It's a start. But there is a lot of work to do, and we can't allow ourselves to be complacent. The regime has doubled down, and we can't give in.

I heard someone call Tanya Chutkan Trump's arch nemesis.

Susan Soroka's avatar

Definitely, kill the arch for good! On another note, how do we get Russell Vought out? Can he be impeached as well?

Julie's avatar

Yes! And what happened to Russell Vought was going to be big news this week? Another distraction?

Kill the arch and ballroom. Where are the plans and permits for the demolition and rebuild of the East Wing? Where is the environmental permits? Prosecute the contractor and stop the illegal and unpermitted and unapproved construction.

My heart is so full of HOPE! Thank you to everyone!

More like he pisses on every thing like the dirty rabid dog he is

Good analogy. Geraldine!

Happy, but well aware that a ton of work is still to be done. Now, with Steven Miller as Chief of Staff, I'm afraid the work will multiply!

Trump’s arch is ridiculous and its location even more so. It would be located in the shadow of Arlington National Cemetery, a memorial to those who fought and often died for our country

Frances Gardner's avatar

Of course Congress should kill Trump's Arch for good! They should also delete Trump's ballroom plans and return the East Wing to a platform for First Ladies to enjoy and work. Leave the bunker, but don't give Trump the keys.

Feeling good about the turnout, grateful for the No Kings rallies that informed and inspired me and hoping that the people in detention centers (concentration camps) don’t get forgotten in this mess — and that they are released to their families as a matter of priority.

I’m think I’m too numb to be elated. It’s like walking through a disaster area after the disaster itself ended, but you still have to deal with all the wreckage.
