For everyone who is getting the error message for writing to Congress, have you tried calling? Also for anyone who prefers to call or to do both, write and call, here is information if you need it.
The phone number to reach each member of Congress is
(202) 224-3121. You will be asked the name of the person you wish to reach in either house, and you will be asked your zip code. If nobody answers, you can leave a voice mail, unless the voice message box is full. (I think you can call members other than your own after hours without having to leave a zip code, but that might have changed.)
On each person’s online site, contact information also is included, usually for each office the senator or representative has. You might also call each of those numbers to leave your message with a person or in a voice mail. Once you have programmed the number or numbers in your phone, calling should be easier.
TRump's obsession with trying to stop mail-in voting is already backfiring spectacularly. Older people, who often vote Republican, and, vote by mail, are angry that TRump wants to deny them their right to vote. TRump votes by mail! Hopefully, EVERYONE will vote the Republicans OUT in November, and, those 90 million people who didn't bother to vote in November 2024, better get off their butts and do so! ONWARD!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Scott, I definitely think Trump’s attempt to depress voting will backfire. People are tired of the machinations of this 80 year old man child. His recent favorability ratings indicate Trump has lost independents and the Republicans on the ballot can not win without independents. I’m looking forward to the results of the midterms.

I do think more people will vote because more people have had real injuries from the cruelty of ICE, THE ECONOMY due to gas prices and health due to RFK policies. I’m hopeful but still fearful that they will find a way to inhibit a free election
I think that his attempts to interfere with the election are so bloody obvious that it would totally push more people to vote. Plus people are sick of Trump and are hurting because of his policies. But then I’m a Democrat and almost everyone I know is a Democrat. So it’s not a fair observation!

I'm a judge of elections in a purple twp in NE PA. PA state law mandates that when in doubt, a prospective voter has the right to file a Provisional Ballot in person on election day. I believe most states have this provision.
It's my job to personally handle this when issues arise, usually due to a late mail in ballot. There is a prescribed process which must be signed off by myself and the "minority inspector" on our election team ( a registered voter of the opposite party of my position. These are hand checked by a team at the county election office and reviewed by the elected County Commissioners before being lowed to count as a legal vote. So the the process is triple checked! To cut down on the confusion, we need to encourage everyone we know to VOTE! 30% of the registered voters did not vote in 2024.
So this sociopathic ego maniac was elected with about 32% of registered voters. Democracy demands participation!
I think that even Republicans (not Trumpers) are getting a sour taste in the mouth after all the shenanigans this administration is pulling to hack the election. I feel that even some of the shady redistricting rules will end up backfiring on them. Only if real Americans get out and VOTE will we beat them badly enough that they will have NO arguments about fraud (as we well know they commit most of that).
The reputation of the current GOP is so tarnished that moderate, conservative patriots, who need and deserve a good national unity group, may have to re-organize under a different name. Democrats are perfectly capable to self destruct if our purpose is strictly hate and vvengence; we NEED a healthy 2-party system as a check/balance to keep us focused on policy, not dark money, by joining in overturning Citizens United and getting back to some sort of election integrity.
