The last six weeks have been an absolute roller coaster in presidential politics. The ups and downs and the twists and turns were exhausting. But along the way, something special happened.
Joe Biden passed the torch to Kamala Harris and she used it to spark a fire in our party that we haven’t seen in over 15 years. Or maybe ever. Harris immediately shifted all of our nervous energy, rallied electeds and labor unions at an astonishing pace, and broke all kinds of fundraising records. It really is something to behold.
The joy that I feel right now, just playing a small part in this, I have not felt since 2009. Like the thrill and smiles I had when I was standing next to President Obama on the day he was sworn in. I had worked for months with little to no rest, so I was half asleep as I danced with Barack, Michelle, and others right after their first dance. But there was an energy, a bright fire that was instilled in me that I would never forget.
Here’s a short video I took from that moment, apologies for the quality:
The hope, the care, the love, the joy. It’s back. And no matter how many incoherent rants or hateful messages he spews, a traitor like Donald Trump is never going to take that away from me.
This election is still a choice between dictatorship and democracy, progress and chaos. This is our chance to change our country forever. And it’s on us to take it.
This is why we are going to keep outworking Trump and his cult, and I am going to continue to do it with a smile on my face. We have been through hell and back because of Trump, and he has taken enough from us.
Our pressure campaigns are forcing Press outlets to change their headlines, and our social media campaigns are dominating the trends.

A friend told me his 22-year-old son and girlfriend were going to the Harris-Walz rally in Michigan today. His son went from not wanting to vote to ecstatic! This gives me so much hope!!
We need to keep the momentum going.
