SPANBERGER CAPS INSULIN AT $35

While the regime blames everyone else for the cost of living, Gov. Abigail Spanberger is actually doing something about it.

Virginia’s new Democratic governor signed a package of healthcare bills—capping the out-of-pocket cost of insulin at $35 a month for 800,000 Virginians with diabetes.

The package also requires insurers to offer plans with caps on monthly prescription drug costs, and cracks down on “prior authorization” abuses. That’s the racket where insurance companies overrule doctors, making patients wait weeks for treatments their physicians ordered.

Every bill passed with bipartisan support. Every one rips money out of insurance company profits and puts it back where it belongs—in the people’s pockets.

“No Virginian should be rationing insulin because of what it costs at the pharmacy counter,” Spanberger said.

Trump swore he’d lower costs and he’s done nothing but raise them—Spanberger promised the same and delivered in less than four months.

TRUMP’S TERRIBLE POLLS

In 2024, Trump stood in Pittsburgh and promised: “A vote for Trump means your groceries will be cheaper.” Here’s how that's working out.

Just 25% of Americans think he’s fixed inflation, according to a recent Economist/YouGov poll. That’s worse than Biden ever did. Even the libertarian Cato Institute confirmed it.

Trump’s overall approval has fallen into George W. Bush territory. A CNN poll shows 77% of Americans—including most Republicans—say his policies made their cost of living worse. Our grocery bills agree.

For the first time in years, Democrats lead Republicans on cost of living and helping the middle class. Among Republicans under 45, economic approval has collapsed 23 points since January. That’s not a blip. That’s a verdict.

AUSTRALIA FIRES THE TRUMP BRAND

David Young spent twenty years trying to get Donald Trump’s name on a skyscraper in Australia. He finally got the deal. It lasted three months.

Young, CEO of Altus Property Group, announced Tuesday the 91-story Trump International Hotel & Tower is dead—a six-star hotel, Michelin-starred restaurants, and apartments starting at $3.5 million. All of it. Gone.

He called the Trump brand “toxic to Australians” and told anyone who’d listen why: “With the Iran war and everything else, the Trump brand was increasingly unpopular in Australia.”

Developers around the world have been stripping the Trump name from buildings for years. Now Australia. Same conclusion, different continent: The Trump brand is a liability.

NEBRASKA DEMOCRATS OUTPLAY EVERYONE

Republicans were scared of a face-off between Sen. Pete Ricketts and independent Dan Osborn in November. So, the GOP came up with a plan. They recruited a Trump-supporting pastor named William Forbes to run in the Democratic primary. If Forbes won, he could split the vote against Osborn in the general election.

The scheme was obvious, but Republicans assumed it was unstoppable. They couldn’t have been more wrong.

Cindy Burbank, a retired pharmacy technician, had other plans. She filed to run with one purpose: win the Democratic nomination and then step aside so Osborn could face Ricketts one-on-one. The GOP tried to remove her from the ballot, but the Nebraska Supreme Court kept her on. She won on Tuesday. The plot is over.

Osborn—a union steamfitter who finished 14 points ahead of Kamala Harris in 2024—outraised Sen. Ricketts in the first quarter, and they’re tied in the polls. Osborn put it plainly: “In America, a mechanic can beat a billionaire.” A retired pharmacy technician just made sure he gets the chance to prove it.
