With Trump’s chaos escalating to new heights, I’m glad to have some great news for you today. It’s more proof we aren’t backing down—not now, not ever.

BERNIE IN WEST VIRGINIA

Last night in Wheeling, WV, Sen. Bernie Sanders had thousands gather for a “Fighting Oligarchy” rally. The applause was constant, and the atmosphere was electric. “Whoever said West Virginia was a conservative state,” Sanders asked. “Somebody got it wrong.”

LETITIA JAMES ISN’T INTIMIDATED

The DoJ just launched a probe into Letitia James’s civil fraud case—the one that hit Trump’s company with a $454 million judgment.

But James is standing firm. Her office said in a statement: “Any weaponization of the justice system should disturb every American. We stand strongly behind our successful litigation against the Trump Organization.”

James’s attorney Abbe Lowell called it “a dangerous escalation,” and a “desperate example of ... [Trump’s] political retribution campaign.” It sure is.

TX DEMS IN CALI

Dems from California and Texas gathered in Sacramento yesterday for a press conference, to talk about Trump’s gerrymandering scheme. Newsom declared: “What’s happening ... is not normal … this is shocking.”

And Newsom didn’t stop there: “We are here to defend democracy … California is moving forward … we will pick up five seats with the consent of the people.”

LAWRENCE TORCHES CORPORATE MEDIA

Lawrence O’Donnell obviously is on a corporate media network. But like Rachel Maddow, O’Donnell doesn’t hold back when it comes to the press bowing to Trump.

He excoriated the White House press corps, saying they are “failing before our eyes.” Adding that “most of the WH press corps does not care” about Epstein’s victims. “We are watching the worst president in history manipulate the worst WH press corps in history every day.” We need more brave folks speaking out like this.

SERIOUSLY, WHERE ARE THE EPSTEIN FILES?

Democracy Forward filed a lawsuit against the DoJ and FBI yesterday, demanding all records related to their Epstein investigation. A good step.

Earlier this week, we reported that Bondi, Patel, and JD Vance were planning a cover-up meeting for the Epstein scandal. Well, that meeting took place at the White House on Wednesday night. But no matter what unhinged scheme they concocted, it won’t change the subject or bury the truth. Not one bit. Because we won't let them.

My promise to you is I will never give Trump an inch. I will never sanewash a story, kiss his ring, or give him the benefit of the doubt. Ever. In the decade I’ve helped lead the opposition against Trump, I never have—not once.
