Trump’s Corruption Meets Our Good Trouble, and More Great News
Protests today, Crockett brings the fire, JD Vance meets resistance, and more
As Trump’s rampant corruption spreads like a new horrible pandemic, I’m glad to have some great news for you today. I hope it gives you some relief from the chaos—even if just for a moment.
My work isn’t possible without support from readers like you. It’s how we stay 100% independent of corporate influence. It also fuels our journalism, our Contact Congress campaign, and our social media initiatives. So if you haven’t yet, please become a paid subscriber:
More than 1,600 events are planned today to honor the late great John Lewis. It’s also a chance for folks to cause “good trouble,” by protesting against the Trump regime. I’ll report back on this tomorrow.
JD Vance was met with crowds of protesters lining both sides of the street in West Pittston, PA, yesterday. Vance was there to spread his lies about the big evil bill, but folks weren’t having it.
New York AG Letitia James is leading a coalition of states demanding Congress pass laws that would require federal agents to show their faces, and to wear IDs or badges.
Also in New York, State Sen. Patricia Fahy introduced the Mandating End of Lawless Tactics (MELT) Act. It would make it so ICE agents have to wear “agency identifying apparel,” and ban them from wearing masks or face coverings.
The Trump regime is quietly withdrawing around 2,000 National Guard troops from Los Angeles this week. A great start—now do the other 2,000.
In the courts, a class-action lawsuit was filed by immigrants who were arrested before or after their immigration hearings. Their aim is to put an end to the cruel practice.
And 20 states sued the Trump regime over the cancelling of billions of dollars in grants that are meant to help prevent natural disasters. These cuts never should’ve happened in the first place.
Trump is out there treating his new Epstein scandal the same way he did with Russiagate—but this time, it’s not working. His base is furious, and Trump even called Republicans who are pushing for releasing the Epstein files “stupid” and “foolish.” We’re going to need more popcorn.
Democrats are also demanding the release of the Epstein files, and are now pushing for further investigations and hearings.
Dem Rep. Jasmine Crockett called on AG Pam Bondi to testify immediately in front of Congress about the scandal. Crockett also made an appearance on TV, hitting back against Trump for challenging her to take an IQ test.
Crockett’s response was perfect: “I have earned my degrees … My daddy didn't have to make phone calls to get me into anything. I love the fact that I live rent free in his head.”
Since 2016, I’ve proudly helped lead the opposition against Trump, starting with my investigations into Trump’s Russian business ties.
That’s how I fell into journalism—because most folks in corporate media simply weren’t doing their jobs. Now, it’s gotten even worse. Too many folks in the news are kissing Trump’s ring, and obeying in advance. Things I will never do.
So my promise to you is that I’ll keep delivering the unfiltered truth, every single day. We’ll keep expanding our enormous Contact Congress campaign, and continue to use our social media network—all to fight this tyrannical regime.
But we can’t do it without you.

I’m on vacation but I’ll be reposting anything I see when I can. Make good trouble everyone.
I did see a No Kings sign in a local shop yesterday morning and stopped in to have an awesome chat with the owner. Also bought a couple small things to support the business. Solidarity!
