Plus, we forced out another unqualified Trump nominee
In a world drowning in the Trump regime’s noise, spin, and outright lies, you chose to be here—and that means something real. This is how movements are built, one person at a time, showing up and refusing to look away.

THE WHISTLEBLOWER RETURNS
Dr. Jenna Norton organized the Bethesda Declaration—a public letter signed by nearly 500 National Institutes of Health (NIH) employees—condemning the destruction of American medical research under Trump.
When she tried to return to work last November, the regime sent a two-sentence email putting her on administrative leave and cut off her building access.
While gone, Dr. Norton didn’t just disappear—she filed a whistleblower complaint, gave interviews, and kept speaking out publicly.
Last week, NIH sent a four-sentence email telling her to come back to work on Monday. No explanation. No apology. Back into a building where 4,400 scientists are gone, political appointees override peer review, and a fitness program salesman runs operations.
They sent Dr. Norton home to silence her. It didn’t work.
ANOTHER COURT LOSS FOR THE REGIME
Temporary Protected Status (TPS) lets people from war zones live and work legally in the US while their home country is too dangerous to return to.
Former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem stripped it from 3,235 Yemenis in February, giving them 60 days to leave the country or be deported. Even though her department’s internal risk assessments noted Yemen was still too dangerous.
Three days before the deadline hit, US District Judge Dale Ho blocked the deportation order entirely—ruling DHS acted unlawfully. Noem had publicly called TPS holders “killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies.” The judge quoted that in his ruling—and called them “ordinary, law-abiding people” who deserve protection.
The block remains in place until the Supreme Court rules on it—likely in early July. The fight continues.
STEIN SAVES MEDICAID FOR THREE MILLION PEOPLE
Three million North Carolinians kept their healthcare because one governor refused to back down.
The Trump regime changed the rules on Medicaid funding, leaving states to cover what Washington used to pay. North Carolina Republicans saw an opening—handing Stein a rescue bill with poison buried inside. The language would strip coverage from 27,000 pregnant women, children, and refugees.
They bet Gov. Josh Stein would fold or take the blame when people started losing coverage. They dared him to sign it.
Stein didn’t flinch—he called their bluff. On April 30, he signed the $319 million bill and kept three million North Carolinians covered. He demanded lawmakers restore the cut coverage immediately.
The regime and the GOP lost this round. The fight for the 27,000 begins now.
THE QUACK IS OUT. WE DID THAT.
Trump nominated Casey Means—a wellness influencer with a lapsed medical license and an unfinished residency—to be Surgeon General. Months of public pressure made her impossible to defend.
Activists flooded Senate offices. Journalists dug into her record. Doctors called her dangerous. The pressure built until even GOP Sen. Bill Cassidy couldn’t bring himself to hold a confirmation vote and Means was finished. That’s resistance working.
We’re less than six months away from the midterm that decides whether this regime faces real consequences.
Every story in this edition is proof the fight is winnable. The Dworkin Report exists to make sure you know that—with no corporate parent, no advertisers, and no billionaires calling the shots. Just readers who decided the truth was worth fighting for—and worth funding.

Today I have two questions I’d love to hear your take on in the comments.
Who in your life has shown the kind of courage that Dr. Jenna Norton showed? What did it cost them?
The Republican House Speaker said some people don’t deserve Medicaid coverage. Three million North Carolinians almost lost their healthcare because of that attitude. What would you say to him?
