They are paying ridiculous prices for fertilizer. The cost of diesel used to power the equipment they are harvesting with right now is through the roof. Farming is in a very real recession. Talk to everyone you know - we need a real Blue Tsunami on November 3rd!
I know they likely receive 6-figure salaries but how do they contribute $60+k at one time. Everyone associated with this Administration needs at least a forensic audit come January.

I like to support independent journalist on Substack, I think I have about ten so far! It does add up, but so important right now! I sent my local democratic party runners some too.
Oh, I spend more on Substack than I do on subscriptions for anything else. Not easy when you live below the poverty line of even this Administration! Shopping in bulk at my local Costco makes it easier. How long my own subsidies last is a genuine worry though.

My husband and I live in North Carolina where Helene nearly destroyed northwestern North Carolina a couple of years ago. Chimney Rock, NC, washed into Lake Lure. Biden sent help. Trump showed up for a photo op and did nothing whatsoever for our state. Yet, Trump signs dot the landscape, much like weeds in anotherwise pristine garden. The people who live there are beyond help. I have recently had mail stuck in distribution points. Despite 3 day delivery postage, my Mom’s Mothers Day card arrived the second week of July. The other was a care package sent to a military member. I have hand delivered my ballots for the last few years.

I want to be hopeful and pray we can bring forth better leaders. Everywhere I go whether grocery store, hair dresser, hardware store and the list goes on I tell people to make sure they vote. Not sure if that is good or bad as I live in red state southern Florida.
