Compliance officers pushed to dump Epstein in 2010 and were repeatedly overruled. That wasn’t an administrative oversight; it was a deliberate corporate choice. Wall Street needs real accountability, not just PR press releases.
So proud of this community! Seeing 21 consecutive courtroom wins against attempts to grab voter data shows that pushing back really makes a difference. Onward!
This enrichment has got to stop! Federal land is not his to give away.
“In January of this year, SoftBank wired $50 million to the Trump library account. Just eight weeks later the regime gave the company 3,700 acres of federal land in Ohio, where they plan to build what could become the largest data center in the world” What a bunch of hogwash!
Right, dagmar, and it's not only greedy but stupid and self destructive for the pepetrators as well as all of humanity as these fools continue to ignore and lie about the overwhelming evidence of the urgent need to combat global warming!
I thank the compliance officers for trying to get JPMorgan to throw Epstein off the client list. I condemn the executives that refused to do so. Mary Erdoes admitted they knew he had been accused of sick crimes but chose to hang on to him anyway. Even after cutting off his accounts, they still did not tell the Treasury Department for six years! I believe Sen. Wyden should hand over every bit of the evidence to a prosecutor and bring those "executives" to account! I am very proud of the wins we are accumulating by the judges against the DOJ still stupidly trying to obtain voter files. You would think after thirty-one straight losses, the DOJ would get the message, but to be honest, the DOJ headed by Blanche isn't very smart! Hallelujah, we're making progress! Keep fighting, America! Stay strong and stay safe!
Hooray for Thurston County Judge Chris Lanese in keeping the verbiage on the Washington ballot. But why there's even a proposal to cut taxes on millionaires is beyond comprehension.
Agree, Kelly. I believe scenarios such as this one are a prime example of why they don't want us to read or be educated. I read every day and do my best to keep up on issues. But even I find that I often have to reread some of those ballot referendums multiple times because of the word salad in them designed to confuse us.
The Republicans around WASHINGTON state have been trying to make it confusing as usual, gaslighting with petitions about Governor Ferguson's taxing millionaires and above. There was even one in our neighborhood and they were standing in front of stores. This is a no income tax state and they and their signs were saying that we will all have a state income tax. They have tried this before. And guess how many technical tycoons live here? The greedy oligarchy thinks they are smarter than we the people! I asked a young man with a petition in front of Safeway how he liked super rich people not paying their fair share? Do you like Donald Trump in your pocketbook? I also went to the store manager and had a discussion. He left and there were no more of them in my town after that day.
Are there absolutely no guardrails on this president? I'm glad, Scott, that you're doing this work, otherwise he would be just operating under the radar. There's going to be a lot he has to account for when this nightmare ends. I hope someone is keeping track of evey last crooked deal he's making! Good reporting!
🏦 Bank executives like Mary Erdos that chose not to report suspicious banking activity deserve scrutiny and prosecution to full extent of the law.
👏🏼 As Scott reported yesterday, Delaware signed into law the John Lewis Voting Rights Act last week. It was the second state to pass such legislation, New Jersey being the first.
You asked about local efforts: here is a win for the moment. Tarrant county Texas Republican dominated Commissioners Court tried to dramatically reduce polling sites for upcoming November elections disenfranchising minority voters. The people showed up forcing a stay of the vote for another month. The people will show up in even greater numbers.
Shout out to the citizens of Citrus County FL for their victory in getting a 1 yr. moratorium on data centers. Deltona Corp. subsequently withdrew their plans.
Focus for today is getting Blanche to release ALL Epstein files: https://tinyurl.com/2uc9vca9
And these four other priorities for the day:
Protect US Forest Service: https://tinyurl.com/mrx8cvv7
Data center pause: https://bit.ly/4twnWMU
25th Amendment Commission https://tinyurl.com/44afaxvd
Defend voting rights: https://tinyurl.com/3f3m728j
All of them signed, sealed, and delivered, Scott! Thanks for doing the heavy lifting here.

Absolutely!
No doubt!!
100% Sam!

Agree, Lazlo! This is so unethical in more ways than I can enumerate
The speed at which they operate, is terrifying.
Agree, Terrie!
you got that right! Is someone going to get that land back? Does anybody in Ohio get involved with this fiasco?
They are most probably involved!
I hope the lawyers are suited up for this fight.
Every day another way to scam Americans of their land, health, livelihood and vote.
Lets see how many groups can get together to end this taking of federal land which will
include if it passes... to rob locals of water and electricity for a project that makes money
for itself, greedy employers in a road to further destruction of our economy.

This is insanity!!! But what else could we expect from tRUMP? Is his Library his to do with as he wants?
Those bank officials who allowed the child rapist to remain on their rolls should face charges as accomplices to his crimes.
Absolutely!!!!!

The amount of money he has made off the people is staggering,
As the saying goes…….follow the money. The banks are complicit.
sure are
Wait.
SoftBank was GIVEN 3,700 ACRES of OUR FEDERAL LAND???? For a DATA CENTER???
And we have how many homeless people?
This is a definition of INSANE and INHUMANE.
Just when I think I can’t get any more angry. So not helpful for my blood pressure- which had been low until, oh, about a year ago. 🤬
Same here. I listen to Adagios to calm myself
Stick it to them all and stick it HARD!! This bullshit must stop!!

The bank’s own compliance officers wanted Epstein gone in 2010. Executives overruled them. What should happen to those executives now?
JAIL!
Wins are piling up. What local or state wins have you been proud of lately?
Jena Griswold in CO not giving up our voter rolls! And defying Gov. Polis turning Tina Peters lose!

Release the Epstien files and hold everyone involved accountable. EVERYONE
That will never happen, I do think tRump is in it up to his eyreballs
