Why You Should Vote for Biden
Part 1: The Fight for Truth
We hear lies every election cycle. But this year is, by far, the most important election in US history—and the level of deceit that has come with it is contagious and dangerous. GOP lies are our new pandemic. And the only cure is to re-elect an honest leader like Joe Biden.
During his disastrous time in the White House, Donald Trump told an estimated 30,573 lies, and I have no doubt he’s doubled that since leaving office. As we’ve seen so many times in the past–especially with Covid and the Jan 6 insurrection–his lies are not only a distraction, they can be deadly.
Within Trump’s cohort, lying and cheating is expected. In fact, it is applauded by the GOP, especially if you get away with it. If you don’t get away with it, it usually is excused or even pardoned. Now, we see that influence demonstrated by the plethora of shameless scandals that plague the GOP. Think Matt Gaetz, George Santos, Jim Jordan, Madison Cawthorn, and others.
More than ever before, America needs an honest leader like Joe Biden. A leader who tells the truth and sets the expectation that their administration and staff will as well.
Since day 1, President Biden has been honest about the state of our country and what it would take to rebuild after Trump’s failed coronavirus response rocked the economy. If there is even the slightest mistake, Biden or his staff correct the record and own it.
Trump’s MAGA machine, on the other hand, is built on pathological lies and fueled by cult members who believe his every word. His political proxies parrot their prescriptive lies about the Biden Administration so often that many people choose to accept them as truth.
They sow doubt by pushing their baseless impeachment scam, which has actually done nothing but exonerate Biden of their false allegations. They say Trump is being wrongly prosecuted, although two impeachments, 88 felony charges, and two massive recent civil penalties totaling over half a billion dollars clearly say otherwise.
Trump’s Republicans lie by omission to voters about what they stand for and about whose interests they protect. They go around the country taking credit for the sweeping successes of Biden’s Infrastructure Bill, leaving out the part where they voted against it. They deny their intention to cut Social Security and Medicare, while promising to give more tax cuts to the wealthy. They refused to vote on a bipartisan border security bill, but then stoked anti-immigration sentiment with their base by falsely blaming Biden for those issues.
They lie about inflation and say Biden is responsible for rising prices, just to cover for greedy price-gouging corporations who donate to their campaigns. They repeatedly insist the economy is doing poorly, despite the great economic recovery we’ve seen under the Biden Administration.
The facts are clear: Through Biden’s leadership we’ve seen over 15 million jobs created since he took office. He’s navigated the passing of enormous bipartisan bills to help rebuild our bridges, roads and tunnels. Biden has supported labor unions and striking workers, and is the first modern US president to actually show up on the picket line.
Biden is facing zero criminal charges and won’t be spending his time campaigning in a courtroom like Trump. With unhinged catchphrases and lots of innuendo, MAGA tried and failed to even the score for their criminal leader. In the end, there was no trail of corruption leading to Biden. If there was, extreme MAGA would’ve found it by now, and it would be on mainstream media 24/7. But it’s not. Because there’s nothing.
Most disturbingly, MAGA is still telling the Big Lie, instilling mistrust in our democracy. All of their other lies ultimately tie into that foundational one, because they want you to believe that America’s voting system failed, that the government is inherently corrupt, and that only Donald Trump can fix it all. Of course, that’s nonsense.
Why do they do it? They see it as their only path forward. They hope that we will ignore the damaging truth about Trump’s corruption and forget all the good that Biden has accomplished.
But it won’t work. We will never forget that Trump is the one who used a campaign of lies to illegally pressure officials in numerous states to overturn the 2020 election. Or that Trump led a violent attack on the Capitol that resulted in death as well as countless injuries to police officers.
Make no mistake, Trump is the instigator of the out of control dishonesty that runs rampant in our local and federal government today. His four years of failed leadership and last three years of madness have set a clear precedent that truth is optional for MAGA.
But truth is not optional for us. That's why I’m voting for Joe Biden and you should too. Not just because we can count on him to tell the truth, but because America cannot survive another four years of Trump’s lies.
America is desperate for truth, for a solid common ground to believe in and stand on as we continue to recover from the disaster of Trump’s corrupt reign.
President Biden and VP Harris have made great strides, and we need them to stay in office, to keep working to renew the sense of honesty that our democracy depends on.
And for that reason alone, we should all be voting for Joe Biden.

Trump means what he says! Vote blue up an down, and let’s keep trying to lock him up. IMO if he loses one more trial it will be like the domino effect.
President Biden has done a great job, we need him and his team to continue.
