Dan Bongino left the FBI and is officially back to podcasting. He’s now facing heavy backlash—even from the maga faithful—for helping cover up the Epstein files.

I’m sure his replacement will be worse, but I’m still glad he’s gone. Good riddance, Bongino. Thanks for nothing.

BIG WINS IN CONGRESS

The Senate voted to advance a bipartisan measure this week that would block Trump from using US military forces for “hostilities within or against Venezuela” without congressional approval. All Democrats and five Republicans voted for the resolution, and a full Senate vote is expected next week.

Also, a bill to extend ACA subsidies passed the House this week. All present Democrats and 17 Republicans voted for it. The legislation was revived by a successful discharge petition, after Mike Johnson refused to move on it.

The ball is now in the Senate’s court—where they voted down the same proposal in December. So it’s on all of us to ramp up the pressure and make sure it passes.

HELP WITH RISING COSTS

Even though the House passed an extension of ACA subsidies this week, several states are rightly not waiting on Congress to lower costs for American families.

In Connecticut, Gov. Ned Lamont said the state will provide $120 million to help cover rising costs for folks who lost federal ACA subsidies. Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey committed $250 million to do the same.

And in New York this week, Gov. Kathy Hochul pledged a vast increase in spending on child care. Hochul committed to covering the costs of NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s free child care program for the first two years, and rolled out a sweeping new plan to expand access to universal pre-K statewide.

Mamdani stated: “If we want people to believe in our democracy, we have to show them that our democracy can actually deliver for them.” Absolutely.

THOUSANDS OF ANTI-TRUMP EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

There’s a mass mobilization of more than 1,000 events scheduled today and tomorrow across America—sparked by an ICE agent’s killing of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis.

Called the “ICE OUT FOR GOOD!” weekend of action, organizers are saying: “ICE is untrained, armed, and dangerous to every American. Get ICE out of our cities now.”

PHILLY DOES IT RIGHT

At a press conference in Philadelphia on Thursday, officials spoke out loud and clear about the killing of Renee Nicole Good. Sheriff Rochelle Bilal slammed ICE, calling them “made up, fake, wannabe law enforcement” and “Trump’s new army.” Bilal also told federal agents if they commit crimes, they will get arrested on the spot, adding: “You don’t want this smoke.”

And Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner issued a clear warning: “If any law enforcement agent, any ICE agent is gonna come to Philly to commit crimes, then you can get the F out of here. I will charge you with those crimes. You will be arrested. You will stand trial. You will be convicted. Donald Trump cannot pardon you for a state court conviction. Do you hear me, ICE agents?”

This is the kind of pushback we need against Trump at all times. Philadelphia officials aren’t asking for permission, they’re going on offense—drawing a hard line in the sand.

We need that exact mindset in order to take back Congress in the fall. A House and Senate that can block, subpoena, and impeach every corrupt member of this unhinged regime.
