How ridiculous to ask trump for a special prosecutor to investigate Epstein case. He will just send in good old Todd or some other lackeys Congress should do it.

Yeah there is some weird stuff going on in Congress Anne. By weird, I mean some Republicans are making moves that will keep Trump's Epstein scandal in the news through at least most of September. It's odd!

Three things about Lisa Cook.

One, there's some question about the meaning of 'principle residence, and primary residence.'

Two, the SC probably will let the convicted felon Trump remove her, if only because the SC will give him the benefit of doubt on what 'for cause' means.

And three, Texas AG Ken Paxton was under investigation for mortgage fraud, he listed no less than three residences as his 'primary' residence.

Yet I fail to see Bill Pulte sending criminal complaints to AG Bondi on the Paxton accusations.

(Source: https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/ken-angela-paxton-mortgage-primary-residence-homestead-exemption/)

The man who is desperate to win the Nobel Peace Prize wants to change the name of the Dept. of Defense to the Dept. of War. That should go over well with the Nobel Prize committee.

And thanks for the reminders of the stories of the stories I want to go back and get more information about. All but impossible to keep up.

Expand full comment
Scott Dworkin's avatar

He thinks he can lobby for the Nobel, which is unhinged in itself.

Expand full comment
HarrisWalz FTW 2024's avatar

Let us hope to high heaven that no one on the committee feels threatened enough by him to allow even the concept of an idea of forever staining that prize with his name to enter their heads.

As it is, we may have to revamp the whole idea of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, now that he has tarnished that with his choices. Will we ever be rid of his stench?

Expand full comment
Robin D's avatar

Aside from everything he has done from day one, from the moment I started seeing the "gold" and turning the WH into Versailles and heard him say he wanted to pave over the Rose Garden (because of the women's heels getting stuck in the grass) I said many times on many substacks...why would a " lame duck" president do this unless he planned to never leave? The only way they will get rid of the stench and any trace of him is to tear the WH down to the studs and rebuild...and hope he never builds that 80,000 sq foot ballroom.

I was born when Eisenhower was Pres and was 7 when JFK was assassinated. We have gone from JFK and Jackie Kennedy to Juan and Evita Peron in my lifetime. 😭🙏

Expand full comment
HarrisWalz FTW 2024's avatar

And did you see that the ballroom was necessary because women's hair and make-up got messed up when events were held outdoors? Yeah, right...it was the *women* whose hair and make-up he was worried about.

Yes, I've seen that thought more often lately, that he clearly has no plans to leave. I thought a lame duck president was what Biden would have been between this past Nov. and Jan., not someone who has nearly 3 1/2 more years to wreck this country. Now there's a vomit-inducing thought. 😭

Expand full comment
Robin D's avatar

😂 Thank you for the LOL HarrisWalz about HIS hair and make-up! (I still cry from their loss. I loved them and had such hope 😥) I'm on a cheap kindle fire that doesn't have a vomit emoji but if I did I would use it copiously!

One thing I can say from my heart, whatever faults Joe Biden may have had, I will always believe he was a good man who really cared about us, and not once did I ever go to sleep afraid from him. Now I take meds for my anxiety and sleep. Nightmare. 😱

Expand full comment
HarrisWalz FTW 2024's avatar

Absolutely. You know what I'm afraid of? Okay, one of many, but not something people are talking about or probably even thinking: I would HATE to lose Joe Biden to his cancer or anything else while this monster is still in office.

*****

"President Donald Trump continued his personal attacks on Joe Biden when asked about the former president's recent stage 4 cancer diagnosis on Friday, May 30.

While speaking with the press on May 30, Trump was asked about Biden's "aggressive" cancer and pulled no punches.

“[Biden’s] been a sort of moderate person over his lifetime,” Trump, 78, said. “Not a smart person, but a somewhat vicious person, I will say."

"If you feel sorry for him, don't feel so sorry, because he's vicious," the president continued. "What he did with his political opponent and all of the people that he hurt — he hurt a lot of people, Biden, so I really don't feel sorry for him.”

*****

The monster would do everything he could to prevent Pres. Biden from having a dignified and appropriate funeral with all of the well-deserved honors. No, he wasn't perfect, but none of us are (especially politicians). He did great things for this country when many simple expected him to sit there for four years and keep anything bad from happening. Instead, he was very productive, especially in not only keeping NATO together but strengthening it when Putin attacked Ukraine like the barbarian he is. And now the monster is playing games, holding back what we could give them an telling them they can't fire weapons as far into Russia as they would like. The man is basically Putin's ventriloquist dummy.
