They are complicit in keeping the American people uninformed about their government. I'm surprised, too--so many reporters at the dinner and no one wanted to dig deeper? As for who's paying for the ballroom--you can bet that TT pocketed all the millions that were initially donated for the ballroom, so if he can get it paid for through taxpayer funds, he won't have to use the money he raised. Follow the money..... I urge everyone to call and/or write their electeds to vote against all the bills appropriating funds for the ballroom. America and the White House do not need a ballroom.

What changed? Well, I'm guessing, several things. Some or all donors backed out or couldn't find the money. The court cases have slowed it down to the point Trump fears it won't get built while he's alive or while he's president. The Democrats are obviously gaining ground toward November. I think that the regime had this shooter and his intentions on their radar and allowed it to proceed, knowing they could stop it and then use it for the ballroom purposes that we now see playing out. There is no other logical reason why tRump would suddenly decide to attend this event after snubbing it for so many years.
