🚨 NEW 🚨 Tell Congress: Block Trump's heist of taxpayer money for his felon-to-felon slush fund https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-block-trumps-theft-of-taxpayer-money-for-his-felon-to-felon-slush-fund/

netta glaser's avatar

His " slush fund" is insanity, to give money to the felons who rioted on Jan 6th is a slap in the face of this country

Cheryl Johnson's avatar

All this insanity is adding up - and I hope chipping away at any remaining support from the people who were snookered into voting for him. And convincing people that it is imperative to vote out the GOP enablers in Congress!

I don't have much hope regarding the MAGA cult members, but there were MANY Biden voters who either voted for Trump (because they gullibly believed that he would magically lower prices) or stayed home (because they didn't think Biden did enough for the economy or saw no difference between the two major parties).

This morning, I caught up on some podcasts, including this interesting one from the Daily Blast:

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/trump-blurts-out-surprise-admission-about-midterms/id1728152109?i=1000769975243

⬆️

“I don’t care about the midterms,” Donald Trump admitted during a monologue about his Iran war. In addition to candidly declaring that he doesn’t care that his policies are badly imperiling his GOP colleagues, Trump also suggested that the GOP nomination of MAGA whackjob Ken Paxton in Texas—which Trump engineered—was a major accomplishment.

This accidentally showed that Trump is still under the delusion that he and MAGA are popular. Yet this comes as The New York Times reports that Republicans are freshly “alarmed,” with some admitting that Trump is putting them in severe danger.

We talked to New Republic contributing editor Felipe De La Hoz, who’s been arguing that Trump’s historic unpopularity gives Democrats new openings. We discuss how Texas is now winnable for Democrats, why Republicans are accepting Trump’s destruction of their midterm hopes, and what Democrats can do to capitalize on Trump’s travails.

After a week like this one, especially after the huge court decisions yesterday, it’s hard not to be super excited for the midterms!

Who else is ready to win big and take this country back from Trump?

Mike Hammer's avatar

If we take the senate we can turn our frowns upside down.

Judy Sherwood's avatar

and wouldn't that be loverly!

Joanne Steacie's avatar

Yes, Sam. It seems like intelligence, common sense, law, and dignity is being seen more and more. May it continue as we remember snd honor what it took 250 years ago. Never perfect, but not this Trump clusterf**k!

Linda C Johnson's avatar

I've been ready!! LFG!!

Though not huge, I got the greatest pleasure out of the decision on the Kennedy Center. For him to watch his name taken down (the first of many, I hope) from the Center and his grandiose plans scaled back will keep me smiling for days.

Sister Stan's avatar

All those little wins go a LONG way!!!

P. Campbell's avatar

*Loved* the demanding the removal of the felons name from the Kennedy center, and stopping the closure of it for so-called renovations!

So happy about all the others – I was a bit surprised about the redistricting one and super happy about what SC people did so far!

Deb's avatar

Amazing the amount of our money being spent on unlawful acts and now have to pay to take the name down!? Should be a law that nothing can be done until it has been proven lawful period!!!

Trump-the-Terrible has broken many, many laws since childhood when learning from his daddy who broke the law to overcharge rent to elderly disabled folks and cheat on his taxes by paying a huge income to his infant son, claiming he was an employee (according to the NYT story published on him a few months after his first inauguration).

It's our duty to make sure that enough people are going to defy his attempt to become the first American Dick-tater and ensure that the slow-grinding wheels of justice eventually pulverize the last remnant of the tiniest memory of his infamous name - I'll remember him as "The trumpster-from-the-dumpster!" We must put him in the can for the rest of his life!

Deb's avatar

Yes and New Yorkers know this and the rich ones follow his example.. the poor ones were told he would help them …. And he would not get into wars etc. but those Christians are so glad roe v wade is gone so they don’t care he is bankrupting our country!!!

netta glaser's avatar

I'm almost sure that there is a law but it doesn't apply to tRump. Not to change the subject, I read recently tRump is trying to fix things so that he can't be prosecuted after he leaves office. Can that be done?

Deb's avatar

The Supreme Court gave him immunity for what he does officially!! Hope some great lawyers can still get him for being a crook!!!

Mike Hammer's avatar

Dump had a meltdown after hearing this. Then he forgot about it and passed it to congress.

Lisa's avatar

Agree Linda. The day when it was announced that the Felon-in-Chief's name must be removed was 5/29, John F Kennedy's birthday. What a wonderful 109th birthday gift to JFK in heaven. 🌟

Thank you for consolidating all of this great news. I send it to lots of friends that are understandably too exhausted to keep up with the nonstop barrage of bs out of this corrupt regime. So grateful to the judges and others who are standing up for the rule of law and our democracy! ❤️

Nobody does it better than Scott.

Hooray for our court system. That’s where the integrity resides. The only place, at the moment.

Patti Scott's avatar

We have let them get away with so much corruption for so long and I think it’s time to impeach them for taking gifts and voting with their benefactors, I don’t have to tell you who I’m talking about!

When the NYT headline banner appeared on my phone stating that trump’s name was to be removed from the Kennedy center, I was pleasantly surprised. While symbolically, it’s a major win, what I want is more substantive: I want the man behind the name removed from office. Now.

Ale G.'s avatar

Yes. Totally surprised and disappointed that action is taking so long on all of the corruption and spending of OUR money. But, kudos to the judges for taking action!!! Any win is a step in the right direction. Hopefully more action against this regime sooner than later…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Tracy Kohlbeck's avatar

What surprised me the most? The fact that it took so long for a judge to order the orange blob's name removed from the Kennedy Center and stop the planned 2 year closure. At least it finally happened. So much good news this week, thank you!

Stuyvesant Bearns's avatar

MORE GOOD WORK, SCOTT. KEEP FIGHTING!

Kim Nesvig's avatar

Glad to see the repeated victories in courts, even with Trump appointed judges. What I hope we will do in the coming weeks if further publicize the cruelty, incompetence and blatant illegality of actions taken by this regime against those who speak out, legal residents, and those undocumented. Trump and MarkWayne are trying lower thier profile, but the cruelty and incompetence continue. Give them no hiding place!

Ice is the Gestapo and should be shut down. Detention centers not allowing representatives into their centers is unlawful…. The companies that own these centers should be sued!!!!!!
