Yes, there are schisms within the White House itself. They are fighting amongst themselves for power. Miller and Noem are blaming each other for remarks they both made about both Renee Good and Alex Pretti. It will only increase new that so much heat is coming from patriotic Americans. Add to that Bruce Springsteen’s new protest song—which has a line it calling out Noem and Miller, thousands marching in the streets this weekend and this could be a turning point moment.
So hang in there everybody—keep resisting….it’s working! And Scott—your ten years of doing this is paying off. Thanks for being there even during the lean/quiet times so when these noisy times erupted— you already had the infrastructure to go hard and help others like myself find a place to learn, resist and create community.
So I haven’t read up on this yet, though it doesn’t ultimately matter: if ICE knew who Lemon and Fort were and arrested them for being journalists or if they didn’t know who they were, and arrested them for being people of color, either scenario is not only unconstitutional, it’s reprehensible.
