Senator Andy Kim at Delaney Hall and Gov. Sherrill have a legal right to enter the detention site. The harsh backlash tactics to prevent their access is proof that ICE do not want witnesses to the chaos and cruelty that they are fomenting... imprisoning pregnant women, children, teens who want to be at their graduation ceremonies... For what? These detainees are not criminals... The real criminals are in the WH with Don-Old and Miller and DHS out of control... Sad!!!
We really need to abolish ICE and reform CBP! Ice has only been around since after 911. No one controls them or perhaps they are taught in their minimal training to act like bully's. They abduct people off the street who are NOT criminals!

As I've shared this info the question keeps being asked...where was Corey Booker? Does anyone know if he ever showed up at Delaney to stand alongside protesters to the horrors inside?
Andy Kim did what we hope our Senators and MOC would do in a situation like Delaney. He stood tall! He stood firm! He tried to defuse the tension. He was pepper sprayed and he never left. All the protesters at Delaney are Andy Kim!
I hope Gov Sherrill and Senator Kim will take legal action against both the facility *and* the ICE agents who pepper-sprayed Kim.
And then someone has to start the process of dismantling and closing any loophole that allows for these private prison companies – they are unconscionable. They have to be stopped.

No, I have not been to an Ice Detention Center, but from what I’ve read & pictures I’ve seen, they are monstrous!
