Yesterday, I unexpectedly saw a reporting by the Bulwark (an unfamiliar organization to me- knew name only) on YouTube about the killing of Alex Pretti. I was distraught and in tears for Mr. Pretti and our country. I did write to both my AZ Democrratic senators, and Democratic representative urging no more funding for Homeland Security until significant reforms are made, and with the possibility (and hope) of Kristi Noem's impeachment. This week my postcards to Republican senators: "You must choose between American democracy or an administration that is destroying it. You can do this." Those lines were from a Heather Cox Richardson YouTube video post. Other Dworkin supporters are welcomed to use those lines, if you also wish to write!
What has me concerned is that I thought something important would happen on gun control after Sandy Hook, and it did not.
My win yesterday? By mid-afternoon, I needed to get away from the news. It's a good break and change of mood & focus!

The blame is evident and they, like Todd Blanche on Meet the Press this morning, will look ridiculous as they lie to accuse an American ICU nurse of attacking 7 masked thugs. Lee, a psychiatrist from Yale U, published an excellent but somewhat obscure collection of essays from 38 mental health professionals, 'The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump'. Not enough people paid attention to this to ward off the misery which the regime is inflicting upon us. As a result of this seminal work, Yale fired her from her professorship, most likely due to pressure from trump 1.0.

It was 1964, I was nine years old. My best friend was Jewish and it was Hanukkah. Her grandparents were in from California to celebrate with the family. I loved lighting the Menorah and playing with the dreidel. I was on the sofa in her living room, seated between her grandparents when I noticed the blue numbers on her grandmother's arm. I had never seen a tattoo except on Popeye. I inquired as to what they represented. I never expected what I was going to told.
Her grandmother was very kind and gentle in her explanation of her time in Auschwitz and what happened to her and her family. She was the only survivor, the rest of her family was either gassed or starved. My eyes filled with tears and the ache in my heart was overwhelming. A big ask of a nine year old little girl, but one that has stayed with me all these years.

Lee, a psychiatrist from Yale U, published an excellent but somewhat obscure collection of essays from 38 mental health professionals, 'The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump'. Not enough people paid attention to this to ward off the misery which the regime is inflicting upon us. As a result of this seminal work, Yale fired her from her professorship, most likely due to pressure from trump 1.0.

I think you are correct, but at some point a stand must be taken. If our courts cannot put a stop to this, then what is left? Do we just succumb to this destruction of our democracy?

For all their claims of religion, I don't think they believe in Hell. I rejoice in the kindness of people, in our shared good. I cuddle dogs and feed birds.
It was 1964, I was nine years old. My best friend was Jewish and it was Hanukkah. Her grandparents were in from California to celebrate with the family. I loved lighting the Menorah and playing with the dreidel. I was on the sofa in her living room, seated between her grandparents when I noticed the blue numbers on her grandmother's arm. I had never seen a tattoo except on Popeye. I inquired as to what they represented. I never expected what I was going to told.
Her grandmother was very kind and gentle in her explanation of her time in Auschwitz and what happened to her and her family. She was the only survivor, the rest of her family was either gassed or starved. My eyes filled with tears and the ache in my heart was overwhelming. I told her how sorry I was, where upon she thanked me but told me my generation had a goal to accomplish. We needed to make sure what she experienced never happened again. A big ask of a nine year old little girl, but one that has stayed with me all these years.
After what has happened in Minnesota, it appears history is repeating itself. We all need to protest this regime. Todd Blanche on Meet the Press looked and sounded like a complete idiot this morning. Bondi and Noem need to be brought to justice. PINO is not capable of representing our country, our people, and needs to be removed via the 25th Amendment. He is not sane. No, but to pass the bill requires 60 votes, and the Democrats are voting “no”. I called both of my Senators and my Representative yesterday and left messages asking them to defund ICE, and to hold the leaders and criminals accountable. They are all Democrats, so I communicated with like minded people.
