BRAVO to the BBC, HIS “gig” is extortion…HE has always been an extortionist…and Bravo to my Governor, Gavin Newsom…making me proud every day, even though I am not 100% on everything Newsom does, he is fighting the good fight that we all should be..joining in however we can to push back and resist this corrupt, grifting regime!

I am grateful to Governor Newsom and jealous at the same time because my governor is an embarrassment…..5 newly drawn Congressional districts. Thank you Californians for Prop 50…I donated $50 for the campaign. ❤️‍🔥

I love our Gov! Newsom is showing the world that we don't just have dictators and despots in power in the United States. He's willing to step up to TRump, while our own Congress is frightened of him.

That's a good point. Gavin Newsome is showing the world that we *do* have intelligent, aware leaders in the U.S. and that we will come back from the cesspool depths Trump and MAGA have put us in. I'm on the opposite coast but we have family in the Bay Area and CA is like a second home. ❤

Newsom is doing a wonderful job in showing the rest of the world that we still have "normal" people in powerful positions, who are willing to step up and stand up to TRump. I've been reading various speeches of Newsom's over the last couple of months and am more impressed than ever with his intelligence and wit. I'm grateful that he's my governor. 🙂

American media should take lessons from the BBC. The problem is our media is owned by the orange man's rich buddies who will bend over backwards to make him look good. They sold out to the corrupt, narcissistic pedophile!

Agree Peggy! And they sure had to bend to make Trump look good. Shame. So glad BBC is not bending. Truth is the defense.

Agree about Newsom! Would love to see more fanfare for his fight to keep protecting our planet from climate change by ALL sitting Democrats!!!! Where the hell are they?!!? Can't they chew gum and walk at the same time??? I know we have a lot on our plate but climate change in the age of DJT should be a top priority!!!!! Even the Chinese see that!! And are ready to push ahead in the need for energy alternatives. Biden had us on track to be using more and better electric cars, mass public transportation and energy alternatives for our homes and businesses! But DJT in his massive ignorance has curtailed much of that. WE THE PEOPLE must keep fighting for a cleaner environment for all!!!

I am going to say this, quoting myself in doing so, so get ready.

"It's the unmistakable fetor of institutional decay, the kind that seeps into your nostrils and settles deep in your sinuses like a fungal infection of the soul. Every breath you take, you're inhaling the decomposition of democratic norms, the putrefaction of accountability, and the rank corruption of a government that has decided protecting powerful predators takes precedence over protecting children."

But here's the thing Wendy, we humans get our info in unseen, little understood ways. I have always known/experienced this, but now I am able to actually see some of it happening. Lately I have been reading 'The Light Eaters' by Zoe Schlanger about scientific study of how the plant world communicates with one another. Quite fascinating, but it has also helped me with my understanding of how we humans garner info about the world around us. Anyway, I think we are seeing our way in turning this awful time around. May not be pretty, but sitting doing nothing would be much worse. Let us keep our chins up and fight on!!!

I think the Comey case will get thrown out. The Trump admin is as inept as they are corrupt.

As for the Epstein files, I don’t know. Trump’s about face on the issue feels like they’re about to try and pull some shady stuff. I guess we’ll find out.

I have always thought Comey's case would be dismissed. The whole thing is bogus.

Thanks to Gov. Newsom for representing us in a positive light. I love that he was called "president". That's a good omen!

Hmmm... the Epstein file vote-hmmm. I am looking to see how the senate votes, & if Bondi indeed puts up that block. We'll see. Not feeling a whole lot of optimism. I hope I'm wrong.

Cheers to the BBC!

“The case against former FBI Director James Comey took a bad turn for Trump, as a federal magistrate judge scolded the DOJ for potential ‘government misconduct’ in the case.”

I don’t think this crime syndicate posing as an administration really even cares about how these cases go down in court. They just want to make life miserable for a while for the victims of their retribution, like Comey and Letitia James.

Yes, and sad to say the cases have been more bright shiny objects to distract us from ... oh you know, selling our most advanced Fighter jets to Saudi Princes that may share the technology with the Chinese! Or opening up several oil drilling sites in places that had been protected, Or destroying our public education system and ruining our health care systems ...AND OUR HEALTH with their ignorance of protecting our climate.

I’m guessing 😡 was not happy about this…such courage from an Epstein survivor at today’s press conference.

“I beg you, President Trump, please stop making this political," Jones said, adding, "You are our president. Please start acting like it. Show some class. Show some real leadership. Show that you actually care about the people other than yourself."

If they play games stalling, the victims should give a list of abusers to Democratic representatives in the House and the Senate.. The representatives should read the list out loud in the House and Senate.

There is a potential of “government misconduct.” Not there is government misconduct in the case against Comey. The legal system is incapable of holding trump et. al. explicitly accountable. Therefore, as much as I look forward to the Epstein file vote in congress, I suspect slimy trump is still capable of squirming off the hook.

Margot's avatar

I hope the case will be dismissed and it should be. Hooray for Newsom! Onward with the Epstein files, I read that Trump will say they only get" what is legally available " so as usual he has something up his sleeve. But both the Senate and the House should vote for the release, I hope they worded it so we can get all the files minus victims names, the original unredacted files.
