🚨 Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have announced the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Center Moratorium Act, legislation that would enact a reasonable pause to the development of AI to ensure the safety of humanity.
Too many of our 'citizens' do NOT understand the difference between Communism and Socialism.
They would be shocked to know how much of their lives are Socialistic; police; fire departments; schools; roads and much more. Even 'Social' Security. Hooray for our Social Democrats, they will help all of us, not just their favorite rich guys.
I so agree with you re: Democratic Socialists. I believe that their platform is one most Americans would agree with if so many weren't blinded by the word "Socialist". Denmark and Norway are repeatedly considered the happiest countries because their citizens pay high taxes, yes, but are assured of universal medical care, child care, living wages, affordable housing, generous time away from jobs and general peace of mind. They elect their officials. Theirs is Democratic Socialism. You are right that many of our programs we currently depend upon such as Social Security and the VA services among others are social, public supported programs. They are Social programs.
Our problem is our unfair tax system and the corporate ownership of our politicians.
