He was great. I was particularly struck by what Senator Duckworth said and then whomever was speaking 50 minutes in. The woman also said to release the Epstein files.

I appreciate that he walks the walk instead of just talking the talk. He’s been walking the walk for decades. Literally and figuratively. He’s 1 who walked in the Pride Parade before it was a big thing. It was the money he donated for the Holocaust Museum. It’s the Pritzker Pavillion in Chicago. It’s small ways of supporting musicians that people don’t realize. Etc. I want more people to walk the walk.

Yes. Thank you. I forgot that. I wanted to just name a few things. People forget about the things he doesn’t necessarily have his name attached to. I wanted to stress the Holocaust Museum because of the moment we’re in.

Absolutely! I worked at the zoo in the 1980s & early 90s. How many museums, zoos, and other cultural institutions are part of the Trump legacy? I appreciate your comments.

Pritzker, Newsom—every Governor should be doing a press conference like this! MAGA has had something to attach to for 10 years—Trump—while the Dems have remained split up and broad based. I get it—we welcome lots of views and voices within our group. But for now—we need to have some strong voices leading the way and being so visible it can’t be missed. We stand for Democracy, Rule of Law and Basic human decency. That’s the Dem platform for now! Yes, we’ll continue to have many views—but this core platform can unite us all.

Dems are usually scattered and not unified. Now is the time to put aside per and vanity “causes” and fight together. Put your egos aside and work together.

If trump foolishly decides to ignore Pritzker's warning to stay away and sends the national guard to Chicago, should Pritzker activate the Illinois national guard to defend the city? This is where we are.

I think I saw somewhere that an idea is to have all of the governors activate their National Guard so it’s impossible for them to be called up for any other purpose.

Pam: Can they be directed by the respective governors to simply chat with folks, share some ice cream and chill? Y’know, if the order to deploy comes down? And maybe allow them to add some color to their military look, with leis or cute socks or something?

I have been paying attention to Pritzker. He continues to show steadfast leadership and has combined that with a gift of public speaking.

I am so grateful you have highlighted this push back. Between the latest responses from Pritzker, Gavin Newsom, Wes Moore, and the PEOPLE we are starting to see some solid consolidation of resistance in this fight. We need to see more, and more often. These three have charisma that should not be wasted. Publicize as much as humanly possible. I would like to see all the blue states with the Democrat "trifecta" support each other publicly, collectively protect their constituents, and rally together enough momentum to push these fascists out before they further damage this country. They are clearly instigating division. We need instead to fuel feed unity.

You bring up an important point. The Dem governors who are showing the way have to work together. They are all out to advance their own careers but at this moment in history, they must put the mission ahead of career goals. They need to unite and not compete with each other

so grateful for Pritzker's leadership, along with the other amazing governors. we are facing the greatest threat this country has ever known and too few democrats in power have the courage to do what they were hired to do, protect the Constitution and the people from threat. this treat is from the president and his gop , the people who paid to put them in office and are the real power behind the curtain. I am shocked how few people are taking this seriously

Pritzker did a great job. He realizes, like many of us do, that Trump is basically a bully and a coward. He will go after a woman of color like he did in D. C., but is less likely to go after a white man.
