Why has amending the quals never been on the agenda- perhaps a tiny amendment to the qualifications clause set forth in Article II, Section 1, Clause 5. Not much, just 1 or 2 disqualifying attributes.. perhaps… acts of treason or conspiring to do harm to any member of the house, congress or the judicial system, or their families; nor shall they have participated in any thing that aims to destroy the very democracy The United States was founded on.
