K Starling includes several virtual options for those who cannot make a "Good Trouble Lives On" event in person. You can find her listing of all events here:

https://open.substack.com/pub/thepeopledissent/p/1200-july-17-protests-and-counting?r=1aiy5t&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

The virtual events are listed at the end of the Google sheet. This is the one that sounded most interesting to me:

https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/806632/

They are honoring John Lewis's legacy by telling the stories of several fellow activists who themselves make "Good Trouble".

JOHN LEWIS RISKED HIS LIFE FOR THE RIGHT TO VOTE!

REPUBLICANS, RACISTS, WHITE SUPREMACISTS have not ended their fights to DISENFRANCHISE VOTERS, they have adopted different tactics by purging voters, supporting ELECTION DENIERS, making it more difficult to REGISTER TO VOTE, discouraging VOTERS with LONG LINES due to inadequate VOTING EQUIPMENT, MOVING POLLING PLACES WITH NO NOTICE, outlawing people providing FOOD & DRINK to those forced to stand in lines for HOURS in order to VOTE.

In order to DISENFRANCHISE VOTERS, the EXTREMISTS are working to eliminate ABSENTEE VOTING, eliminate EARLY VOTING, make it more difficult to REGISTER TO VOTE.

Just consider that if you're a LOW WAGE EARNER working 2 jobs just to get by, how can you take a day off to travel - maybe some place where you have no transportation - in order to REGISTER TO VOTE....

It's DELIBERATE!

That's before considering TEXAS GERRYMANDERING that the ORANGE TURD pushed to accomplish. And now the THREATS against TEXAS DEMOCRATS who want to boycott to prevent action?

CHECK OUT DEMOCRACY DOCKET by Marc Elias among others.

Do we want to sacrifice our RIGHT TO VOTE?

MASSACHUSETTS is not perfect, but VOTER TURNOUT has increased due to ABSENTEE BALLOTS & EARLY VOTING! Isn't that what matters?

BE SUSPICIOUS OF ANY PROPOSED CHANGE IN VOTING!

FOX NEWS = FAKE NEWS LIARS PAID $787 MILLION to DOMINION VOTING for their ELECTION LIES in order to avoid trial. SMARTMATIC has pending trials. (There have been other lawsuits & settlements you can look up if inclined, even NEWSMAX settled.)

THE RIGHT TO VOTE IS SACRED!

LET'S TREAT IT AS SUCH!

I watched the Scottish Open last week and one of the caddies had to be replaced because he had a felony conviction and couldn't enter the country. How is Trump being allowed entry?

Wouldn't that be great if their immigration officers took him to prison and locked him up without due process. Maybe with the loch Ness monster. Fingers crossed!

I'm disappointed in Scotland for allowing felon47 to open anything in their country. I think he already has at least 1 other golf course there; they should make him liquidate any assets there. All other countries should. He apparently hasn't completely alienated our allies.

Canada has similar "no convicts allowed" laws, but politicians can get around them by filing the appropriate paperwork. Bush Jr. was initially banned from Canada because of his DUI record, but special compensation was made when he made State visits to the Great White North. I assume Trump did the same for his recent Canadian G7 visit and Scotland would likely have similar procedures to allow him entry.

That is question that Mz. Bondee should be asked right away. Nothing says double standard like a cheating golfer who never loses...just ask him.

I am surprised that the lovely people of Scotland are not protesting his new golf course. The damage he did with the other golf course should have been a lesson for their country. But I guess if you have enough money.

Once he leaves do what should have been done the first time he left, deny him re-entry as a convicted felon.

Would love to know who shared that golf pic! As a golfer myself I laughed my head off then wondered if it was real. 🤔 Either way it made my day. Thanks Scott! Every laugh, every piece of good news, every report of defiance and hope keeps us all focused on what we pray will be a more sane future.

Don't worry , we here in Scotland will be protesting! I am furious that we as tax payers will be funding his security for a PRIVATE visit. He should pay for his own security. But he'll be left in no doubt about how Scots feel about him! Though I can see protectors being kept miles back.

Alligator Alcatraz will be disastrous for the Everglades' ecosystem. No one seems to bring that up. I think the whole idea is awful - perhaps we should just drop a select few from this administration into the waters and see what happens, scrapping the whole alligator alcatraz concentration camp thing.

Hateful labeling of a jail is inflicting such ugliness on the entire country. It is not funny, it is outrageous. And it is now plastered in road signs in the area of Florida where it exists.

That's disgusting. I'm not surprised. But it's utterly disgusting.

There's a big tee shirt business reaping in the dough, too. It's so un-American to make the source/place of suffering and anguish "trendy". Oop - I meant that it's full blown 2025 American, not un-American.
