Our Contact Congress campaign today will focus solely on contacting Senators and Rep. to make sure they vote against this absurd “deal” some Senate Dems made that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies. We will have a link and phone numbers pinned in the comment section. The fight continues. We must press on.

Contact your Members of Congress via this link: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-cancel-gop-healthcare-cuts-and-end-trumps-shutdown/

Call these Senators and demand they change their mind on this “deal”

Catherine Cortez Masto (202) 224-3542

Dick Durbin (202) 224-2152

John Fetterman (202) 224-4254

Maggie Hassan (202) 224-3324

Tim Kaine (202) 224-4024

Angus King (202) 224-5344

Jacky Rosen (202) 224-6244

Jeanne Shaheen (202) 224-2841

Looks like Kaine’s Senate contact page also accepts online comments even if you’re in another state. Mine just went through and I’m not in VA.

Kaine's office is closed and he has no voice mail. Virginians are giving him an earful via email. I am FURIOUS.

Snd this SellOut Vote has Schumer's pathetic little fingerprints all over it.

I cannot bring myself into affinity with farmers. They voted for Trump. No doubt farmers would be a lot smarter had they gone to Trump University. Let farmers eat soybeans. Soybeans are a great source of protein.

“All of us who are dismayed by the present state of the union, this is no time to give up,” Biden declared. “It’s time to get up. Get up now, get up.”

If you have become overwhelmed, rely on my 2 buckets to sanity. 2 buckets says stay in the fight. We are winning with a year to midterms. If you stay in, we will shut them down.

I am pissed. I cannot even be polite today. This betrayal hurts me deeply. People will die for losing health care due to unaffordable premiums. I am sick and tired of democrats rolling over and giving in. I think everyone who voted for this sham of a bill needs to be premiered by the strongest democrat available and voted out and Schumer needs to be removed as the democratic leader in the Senate. Who is he afraid of? Give the job to someone like Sheldon Whitehouse who is not afraid to speak up. It is time for democrats to stop being afraid of republicans.

Called and emailed Senator Kaine asking him not to do this. The shut down has last 40 days and we end up with nothing! Like right, in two weeks they’ll have a vote on the ACA and the GOP won’t pass it but instead will be laughing their asses off once again of how the DEMS took their con! So disappointed! We just came off a huge ‘the tide is turning in our favor’ win in elections so why would we crumble now.

What I think many folks are missing about the football game last night is how Trump read out loud the oath for the military “ I, fill-in your name” when he was supposed to say his name “I Donald Trump”. Can’t make this up.

So if the four are open to voting no if they hear from their constituents it behooves us, if we live in their states, to call and get others to call. I have a sister-in-law in New Hampshire and friends in Nevada. Anyone have friends or family in Virginia? Fetterman and Cortez Masto are lost causes. My son lives in Chicago and I have a ton of friends there. This thing ain’t over. We are the real fighters of the Denocratic party. Let’s lend these wimps some spine! Who’s on board?

Scott, I was initially very angry that this deal had been made. It was also interesting to note the eight Senators who backed down. It was as if they had been picked as the least likely to suffer election repercussions, except for Fetterman. However, upon reflection, I realized that the Republicans wouldn’t back down until Trump agreed and Trump is not a rational man. He doesn’t care that millions of Americans are suffering. This is not the end of our fight. It’s merely a pause on the road to taking back the House and the Senate in the midterms. Onward!

I'm so disappointed that some Dems bent the knee to the GOP. What a waste of 41+ days of a shutdown to only turn around and cave. The Dems were on a roll and now they've taken multiple steps back. tRump and the GOP must be celebrating big . . .

But did they? I thought so at first, now I see it as a political move to force Mike Johnson to open the House, since Trump would veto extending healthcare. I told NM Senators to stand fast. I believe this isn’t just caving to the bully, possibly outmaneuvering.

K. Starling shared this about the 4 that might be open to changing to no.

These eight senators voted “Yes.” Call and tell them to vote “No.” Sources have indicated that Kaine, Rosen, Shaheen, & Hassan may be open to voting “No” on the second vote.
