So here's the part where we do something with it.
These are the six campaigns we're focused on today, out of dozens we're running. Every one goes straight to your own representative or your senators, depending on who can actually move it, with your zip code attached. That's what makes them count. Congressional offices sort constituent mail by district and by subject, and the totals go up the chain every single day.
**Yosemite.** They worked on this quietly for over a year so there wouldn't be a public fight. There's one now—1,172 letters in under 24 hours.
**Mail voting.** The hearing is Thursday in Boston, and military ballots are already going out in some states. Congress doesn't have to leave this to one courtroom.
**Investigate the case.** Somebody flew those planes. Somebody kept that calendar. Somebody moved that money. We need every one of them under oath, not just the handful who've already testified.
Each one takes about a minute. We've sent more than 829,000 since November 2024, and every single one started with somebody deciding it was worth the minute.
And if you send one today, reply here and tell me which one. I read these, and so does everybody else scrolling past deciding whether to bother. Seeing that somebody already did it is usually what tips them.
That is a brilliant point. The irony of the data center invoice going the other direction is perfectly poetic justice, and we definitely won't bury it. And Peggy Dutcher's story is infuriating. The rules shouldn't change just to keep people away. We will pass it on!
I just voted -- MA primaries are today! I voted for young, progressive Patrick Roath who will hopefully replace the incumbent Stephen Lynch, this district's representative for TWENTY-FIVE YEARS. One thing Roath would work on is to casp the years people can be in Congress.

I'm a poll worker in our small town, so the last time I checked, I was registered and that was June 2026! I'll be working at our town's (we are so small we have only one place to vote) polling station in November, too. Maine has same day registration, thank goodness. If the worst has happened and I somehow got purged, I could re-register at once. Fortunately, I have all the paperwork I need.
Thank you for your service as a poll worker! Same-day registration is such a critical safety net for voters. Having all your paperwork ready just in case is smart planning!
Same here in Michigan. I'll be at the polls working but if there was an emergency I would use my lunch break to scurry over and reregister. Luckily I will have early voted before that day. So love our new voting rules voted on by the people for the people!

My husband and I voted in the FL primary this past month via mail-in-voting ballots but we didn’t mail them, we took them to our designated drop off ourselves. Not trusting the USPS! And, we will still be double checking our voter registration status before the midterms just in case. This is what it has come to for US citizens under the fascist Trump regime!
Using the drop boxes is a very smart move, Jo Anne! Double-checking registration and making sure your vote is secure is exactly what we all need to be doing.

Today is primary day in Massachusetts, and I'm about to go down to my town's polling place (the public library) to vote for, among others, my junior U.S. senator, Ed Markey, who's 80. His primary opponent is three decades younger but not in the same league. My senior U.S. senator, Elizabeth Warren, is 77. Is any state in the union better represented in the Senate? I doubt it! (I'm not wild at all about my congressman, but at least this time he's got a worthy primary opponent.)
Massachusetts definitely has some heavy hitters in the Senate! It is always a good feeling to have representatives you can be proud to vote for. Happy Primary Day!
I've never been turned away at a counter, thank goodness. I have checked my voter status - active - our local Indivisible group is making sure everyone in the group and all who read our facebook page know how to do that. Thanks.

I checked my voter registration last week. About five years ago I went to renew my Florida driver’s license. I brought my old license, my birth certificates, my voter registration card, my car registration and my tax bill. I was told I still needed my marriage license, because my maiden name was different. I asked if I could go home and bring it back. I was told by the clerk to bring it back to her and she would help me immediately. I’ve had a drivers license for over five decades. REALLY…
We must continue to call out don-old’s lies. Be sure you are registered to vote and do whatever you can to save our Democracy!
That is an absolutely ridiculous requirement, Monica! The hoops they make people jump through just to maintain a driver's license are a form of suppression in themselves. We must definitely keep calling out the lies and protecting the vote!

This is what we women worried about with efforts to limit voting right - most of us got married and our last name changed from that on our birth certificate- that is less a worry for younger women who often retain their name but many women change their names
voter suppression is voter fraud and it is the strongest path to demolishing a democracy free, fair unfettered voting is the bottom line in a democracy

I check my voter reg virtually every week. I'm registered as independent because I'm a blue dot in a red town in a red county in a purple state. ANYBODY registered as a Dem with a red county clerk needs to make sure they don't "accidentally" get deregistered.
Checking weekly is a very smart strategy, Bon! Especially in areas where you might be a political minority, staying on top of your registration is essential.
I'm in FL and check often, including today. I can usually also check my son's - today I had to go through an extra step, a different portal for him - but we are both registered. I will keep checking. FWIW, I know our Supervisor of Elections and have found him to be ethical.
