Did those MAGAs resist because the warehouse is wrong or because they just didn't want it in their neighborhood? Big difference. If it was merely a geographical decision, not based on humanity, the warehouse should be shoved down their throats. This doesnt mean I am not thrilled with their decision! Hoping it's a change of heart for those voters.

If they don’t pass a resolution when the wind is at theirs backs then they are not only spineless but they are complicit in all the crimes being committed by this regime.

Glad the small town fought back on detention centers. We don't need them, we have existing laws to manage immigration. I do not know if the war powers will pass but if the Republicans want to do the right thing now is the time, well, the time has been ongoing, but this is another chance for them to follow their oath to the constitution. To borrow a phrase from HCR, "are they still hiding under their desks?" Maybe the fact that Trump has told Americans to leave via commercial airlines and Britain is making plans to get their citizens out is a clue that the war needs oversight.

As someone who is fighting to stop a detention center put in my downtown, I can tell you it is both.
