I agree! I am sick and tired of Republicans and "Christians," talking about abortion like women are having them about as often as we go out to lunch! Yet, any attempt to ban assault weapons, regulate gun safety or restrict ammunition meets with an immediate opposition by the gun industry. And the courts rule the legislation violates the Second Amendment. Even though the Second Amendment actually states "a well regulated." Gun regulate is a RIGHT TO LIFE issue.
I have a real problem with MEN making decisions on behalf of WOMEN. The GUN issue is another area where men dominate. I am 84 yrs and have fought my entire life for the Abortion issue. Men don't have a clue! They walk away from the woman they impregnated rarely to be seen again! I am not telling any woman she should have an abortion by the same token I say you don't have the right to tell me I can't have one. I don't have an issue with Guns, I have an issue with the idiots who try to settle something with a gun, instead of using some intelligence!!
I would want my letter to focus on stopping permits for private companies on federal lands, especially those that are sacred to our native communities.
My representatives are Democrats so they are already fighting the other main issues but this one isn't getting enough attention.
