The Republicans in Congress are in thrall to Donald J Trump..it is going to take a tsunami of complaints from their own, redhat constituents, one so large that they fear that Trumpism may cost them their jobs, to turn the tide.
I've been attending weekly pop-up protests around Charlotte and there definitely seems to be an increase in the number of honks, thumbs up, waves, and peace signs including from a bunch of people who fit the demographic profile for the old "Country Club" Republicans.
I will be submitting this on WhiteHouse.Gov when that site reopens for contact-comments at 12:00 PM Eastern time.
"Trump agreeing to Putin’s demand that Russia be able keep Ukrainian territory would be prima facie evidence that Trump is the weakest President the United States has EVER had and would prove to EVERY American that Trump is Putin’s Puppet.
This has always been a mismatch of epic proportions: a wily, shifty, extremely bright former KGB apparatchik vs. a shallow, ignorant, egotistical, greedy, stupid creep. Kompromat, thy name is Trump
Trump also has an unrequited bromance with Putin, who looks upon t with disdain. He finds trump easy to manipulate. Trump’s fragile ego plus his indignant, arrogant, malignant narcissism equals prime puppet material for Putin.
I think Putin knows a lot about the Epstein situation. Epstein had Russian ties early on in his sex trafficking life and I do think that could be some of the dirt Putin has on Trump!
We know that the mainstream media is either in the pockets of the oligarchy or afraid of them, or probably both. The WH press corps these days are hand picked flacks for the Trump administration. So here’s the suggestion: When there is a WH Press Conference, hold alternate Press Conference, lets say, right outside the WH gates, with real reporters asking real questions, and a varying cast of stand-ins for the President and his lackeys. Track whats being asked inside, and ask the logical follow up questions. Ask the questions that aren’t being asked, and give the real answers.
I could see the alternate press conference becoming far more interesting and informative that the charade that goes on within the WH.
Someone needs to bring Alex Acosta into the current mess about Epstein! He gave Epstein the Sweetheart Deal dismissing 60 counts against him. We need to hear from him!!
I hope someone is tracking, by name, all the billionaires who are groveling at Trump’s feet. Epstein’s got a list we can’t see but Trump’s list is playing out daily right in front of us. Trump’s list should be posted in Times Square like ticker tape. These sycophants will one day be in the Smithsonian for being cowardly traitor’s to our democracy.
Hi Scott, hope this isn’t a silly question, but I keep wondering how it is that Lawrence O’Donnell and Rachel Maddow are able to do their jobs without retribution in this media hellscape? I’m so thankful for them and hope they continue.
Ya know who also thought that? Former Bernie supporter and current title holder of Russia's Girlfriend, Tulsi "Obama Did It" Gabbard, an eternal embarrassment to her home state and to the office of the DNI. We're waiting for the proof of Obama's malfeasance, Gabbard, as well as the indictments and convictions. Show us your work, ya fraudulent traitor
That's for sure. The Repubs have worked diligently to keep Southerners in the dark, uneducated. When you don't know what's going on you don't have questions, no dissent!! I was born and raised in TN and I see it my relatives.
Patti: Pfft. ( 🙃 ) A *LOT* has led to their ignorance. Lack of early learning to think critically and question; lack of education; over-reliance on biblical explanations for scientific phenomena; leftover resentment and prejudices going way back…
I’m not saying that’s all the reasons, nor that this is true of the entire south or all southerners (not by a long shot). I just observe this in many overall responses to national issues.
A lot of creationists out there, maybe as many as 1 in 3 Americans. Talk about reliance on biblical explanations and distrust of science. That's a lot of fervent ignorance.
Wholesale banning of books is a very recent phenomenon. Cutting funding for public education has been in the works for far longer - especially in Southern states.
Bernie does his Peter Finch impersonation from the movie “Network.” “I am mad as hell and I’m not gonna take this anymore.” Going forward, this needs to be every Democrats daily mantra.
Here are 100 protest signs. The moment demands protest. To each it should be unmistakable—urgent and morally unassailable. I speak for justice, duty, and shared humanity. Act now for those we must protect. Rise. We have protests to do. Good trouble.
One of the ironies of the current chaos is that his first inauguration speech became known for the phrase, "American carnage" - which is exactly what he is creating on an hourly basis in his second term. Whoever occupies the office next - or whenever MAGA is condemned to the dustbin of history (given that we'll continue to have free and fair elections, which seems increasingly in doubt) - will have an enormous clean-up and repair operation on their hands. The damage emerging from the chaos is beyond imagining.
* register new voters - (1) amongst your own sphere of influence, or (2) as a volunteer with groups like Field Team 6 (www.fieldteam6.org) or League of Women Voters (www.lwv.org), or (3) by donating to groups that work in this area (Field Team 6, LWV, Vote.org, Rock the Vote, the Civic Center, Future Voters of America, Common Cause, the Brennan Center, etc.)

*Help get out the vote - (1) locally this year (if there are state or municipal elections) and/or next year (for the midterms) or (2) in states with critical elections this year (e.g., NJ, PA, VA) by writing postcards, phone- or text-banking, and/or canvassing
door-to-door
There is a lot to choose from, but please commit to doing something! We are facing an existential threat and we can't simply wring our hands or obey in advance!!
Thank you, Cheryl - and trust me, I'm committed to doing a lot. It is our only path back to sanity.(Plus, action is the best antidote I know to depression and despair. They want us to feel paralysis - to be paralyzed . . . and I refuse.)
That's great! And I totally agree that action is the antidote to anxiety.
Whenever I see a post that questions the future of elections going forward, I feel compelled to get a plug in for actions we as individuals can take! Too9 many people appear to be sitting on the sidelines waiting for "someone" to do "something".
I remember talking to a friend about some of the voter protection work I was doing in a past election cycle and their response was that they didn't even know that was a thing.
Lev Parma’s reports that the Vance, Bondi, Patel meeting was really about trying to control Dan Bongino. He is silent right now, but they are greatly concerned that he’ll blow the lid off on the Epstein files because his entire social media/success was built on finding the truth about Epstein. His listeners are waiting but won’t accept a coverup.

Bernie could pack a venue anywhere on earth right now!
He sure could!!
Headliner gold, with an actual human heart. Bernie tells it like it is!
I ❤️ Bernie! -voted for him twice!

"Trump agreeing to Putin’s demand that Russia be able keep Ukrainian territory would be prima facie evidence that Trump is the weakest President the United States has EVER had and would prove to EVERY American that Trump is Putin’s Puppet.
Donald, what dirt does Putin have on you?"
This has always been a mismatch of epic proportions: a wily, shifty, extremely bright former KGB apparatchik vs. a shallow, ignorant, egotistical, greedy, stupid creep. Kompromat, thy name is Trump

Putin was with the KGB and has all the Background on Trump so who's the Boss at this meeting?
Just like a MAGA….bringing a knife to a gunfight…
(Apologies to Sean Connery/The Untouchables).
Welcome Robert!!😍
Oh he has plenty with video and pictures I'm sure. Putin ha manipulated for many years, and it's all coming to fruition now.
I think Putin knows a lot about the Epstein situation. Epstein had Russian ties early on in his sex trafficking life and I do think that could be some of the dirt Putin has on Trump!
Videos. Pedophiles. Young boys. Young girls. Children. Pee face.
I think he has plenty of dirt, including a copy of the Epstein Files.
He probably does!
I think I read that a lot of Epstein's financial transactions went through Russia, so he may literally "have the receipts"!
Sadly, I’ll be long gone before the truth is revealed 💀
I probably will be too unless I make it to 90
Me too!
LOve it!
Good question 🤔
I have a serious suggestion.
We know that the mainstream media is either in the pockets of the oligarchy or afraid of them, or probably both. The WH press corps these days are hand picked flacks for the Trump administration. I have been advocating for Congressional Dems to do this for months. Counter his lies & misinformation with facts.
Someone needs to bring Alex Acosta into the current mess about Epstein! He gave Epstein the Sweetheart Deal dismissing 60 counts against him. We need to hear from him!!
YES!!!
Agree
The alternate pressers can feature that comedienne who mocks KKKaroline Lie-vitt
Bullshit Barbie
💯💯💯😬😬😮💨💩💩💩
I love this idea!
I like that!
Brilliant Idea Kim!
Just as Congress should be operating a shadow government!
Brilliant, Kim!!!
Great idea!
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👏👏👏
Brilliant!!!
Awesome post. Great work!
Thank you!

Track the Traitor’s

Need more Bernie's
Hi Scott, hope this isn’t a silly question, but I keep wondering how it is that Lawrence O’Donnell and Rachel Maddow are able to do their jobs without retribution in this media hellscape? I’m so thankful for them and hope they continue.
I think they must bring in enough viewers for Trump not be able to push back.
I wonder also.
Thanks for what you and the other independent media do to keep the truth front and center and in front of Trump's face.
Bernie would have beaten Trump in 2016. He spoke to the same concerns of the same people, without the vitriol and spittle.
I won't blame the DNC for this, like most do. Bernie got hammered in the southern primaries.
The South should have been occupied territory after the Civil War until about 1980 or so.
Ya know who also thought that? Former Bernie supporter and current title holder of Russia's Girlfriend, Tulsi "Obama Did It" Gabbard, an eternal embarrassment to her home state and to the office of the DNI. The south needs real education; banning books have lead to their ignorance
That's for sure. The Repubs have worked diligently to keep Southerners in the dark, uneducated. When you don't know what's going on you don't have questions, no dissent!! I was born and raised in TN and I see it my relatives.
That’s so hard. My daughter’s bf listens to BS and then spouts it like it’s truth. We have had a few “Come to Jesus” conversations
I am sooooo grateful that everyone in my family hates trump!! Unbelievably grateful!
My older sister does the same!

The Union should have tried and hung every Confederate leader down to the Generals. Lincoln's error. "Lost Cause," and "State's Rights," my, ass.
Yes, he would have! Things would be alot different!

Thank you Georgia!
I think it would take much more to intimidate my AG. Long may she wave!
Thanks for the encouraging words.

(Dustbin = reeking pile of garbage)
We can all do something NOW on the voting front:
* register new voters - (1) amongst your own sphere of influence, or (2) as a volunteer with groups like Field Team 6 (www.fieldteam6.org) or League of Women Voters (www.lwv.org), or (3) by donating to groups that work in this area (Field Team 6, LWV, Vote.org, Rock the Vote, the Civic Center, Future Voters of America, Common Cause, the Brennan Center, etc.)
