Our local paper, the Rogue Valley Times, ran this article about Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-Oregon), the only Republican Congessman from Oregon. Rep Bentz spent more taxpayer money than any other representative to attend Trump's inauguration. Of course he supported the Big Beautiful Bill, which devastates Oregonians who depend on Medicaid and SNAP.

As Joe Walsh, a former tea party republican has been saying, "We need a BIG tent" to defeat the republican party! Meaning: tolerance for a variety of views but with the collective purpose of restoring Democracy and upholding our Constitution.

Me, too. As long as people are pro-democracy and for saving our Republic, we can find a place for them.

If you haven’t seen the SNL skit poking fun of Vance’s trip to the donut shop you should definitely look it up! Classic.

I really think we need to watch what Vance is "planning" very carefully. Dumb like a fox, is the term I've used to describe Trump, but it applies to Vance as well. There are others behind the scenes.

Geoff Duncan is a brave man and my hope is that others follow him. The outcome of jd’s meeting (not about Epstein) will be interesting to see how it pans out. We should have known at the beginning that jd has always been a bit awkward. Loved seeing the donut ordering again. 😂

Scott: The fact that he's becoming a Democrat is really encouraging. It shows me that there are some politicians so disgusted with what the GOP has become that he cannot stand to be associated with that group of lost souls. But it also begs the lack of top leadership from my party. There isn't the kind of "in your face" confrontation in Congress that is hitting the media in any concerted manner. I think that Schumer and Jeffries are still feckless. They do not have the gravitas, the toughness, the voice that can successfully penetrate the constant barrage ot Trump/Vance/Johnson garbage mouthing we all canot completely ignore or discount. The crap these people continue to "accomplish" under the radar is a maze of malignancy. And the NY Times and the WAPO media "giants? Just stupidly silent. Just scared. Just beaten. So, you, Meidas, Michael Cohen, Steve Schmidt, and so many others - are trying to penetrate the horror of a media-gone-to-Trump. I listened to the NPR recording of the Rep. Flood's Town Hall. The anger, the booing of his constituents was dulled by Flood's later interview about that meeting and his vote in favor of Trump's budget andx DOGE's "efficiency" cuts. Flood is a facile, factotem. He's glib and "sincere." He makes the case that his vote is only the beginning or whittling down it's excesses, that he'll be at the vanguard of making sure there are no folks thrown off Medicare or other social subsistence necessities in the lives of millions. He sounds so trustworthy. And he is, alas, one of the bullshitters who can still make folks who are now angry, who have good reason to feel betrayed, finally calm down with his facile rhetoric and assurances. He is the poster boy for the cobra-like deceiver, swaying in the music of despair, ready to hypnotise and then strike with the kill.

Agree we need so many more Dems to fight back!

But there are many standing up. Jasmin Crockett, Isaiah Martin, Gaven, Pritzker, Hockul, the Texas dems, NY AG James, Collin Allred, Aaron Parnas, James Talarico, Beto, etc. They just need to learn how to get mean.

Happy to see Duncan switch—and hope it is the crack in the wall that leads to a flood of other Republicans who want to be known as decent human beings to switch as well. The GOP story that Dems are the problem is crashing in on itself as the GOP tanks the economy, sets up concentration camps, and covers for pedophiles.

I will never bow down to a felon! Anyone who follows me anywhere on Social Media knows that my favorite name for him is the Orange Felon because he is! But what he has done to America and his disrespect for the Constitution and the Rule of Law has been my aviator to fight what this Felon has done to the country. And the more that he shows his contempt for people who have supported him. Maybe they will join the fight to save America 🇺🇸
