Not only should Trump be in jail (as any other person in his position would be), when Biden is re-elected and we once again have a house majority, Congress should be looking at some critically needed judicial and constitutional reform.

I love you optimism. Hope to God your right!

If we do the work I think it’ll happen!

Love it. Can I use it?

Literally the headlines about Trump should all begin with: “future prisoner Donald Trump” instead of GOP nominee for President. This is so tiring. 😩 🤦

Scott Dworkin's avatar

Totally agree. Someone told me he was set up. Which is what prompted this post. I’m like no he should’ve been in prison years ago.

Sue Monaco's avatar

As a former New Yorker, I’ve known since the 70’s that Trump is a liar, a cheat and a con man. He’s only gotten worse since then- or maybe he’s gotten better at the con.

JeH's avatar

Check out the fiasco in Atlantic City.

Janine's avatar

I saw that play out too.

Eugene Porter's avatar

You don't need to be a New Yorker to know that El Pendeo Naranja is a crook and always has been and will continue to crime.

Suzy Wolski's avatar

He’s been awful since he was a toddler!

DeeDee's avatar

Because he’s gotten away with it! Why isn’t his taxes being audited. Why didn’t nyc catch him Sooner.

He is like a clown in person too.

how did a state-specific voting system manage to fail just one candidate of hundreds across all states' balloting systems? Why did no other GOP politicians complain about this sieve of fraud for only One person losing his race in the 2020 election, despite over 60 lawsuits up and down our judicial branch including SCOTUS, and yet not a one winning challenge? Where is there even a shred of logic in this propaganda going on after 4 years without a trial to prove/ disprove the glaring fraud!

BlueQueen's avatar

Me: HELLZ YEAS!

Since J6!

Since Russia interfered with our election.

Since his 1st impeachment.

Since his 2nd impeachment.

Since he doxed Obama! Since he threatened Mark Milley’s life!

Since he threatened every judge, prosecutor, witness or family members.

Since he gave our secrets to our adversaries.

Since he had 3700 conflicts of interest as potus.

Since he was found out to be laundering Russian money! So… NOW. NOW WOULD BE GREAT 👍🏻

BlueQueen's avatar

FFS THIS IS WHO IS BEING UNFAIRLY PERSECUTED. (Uh,DONNYJ-ARSENAL?!) Double standards much? Hunter ditched the gun in 11 days, didn’t even fire it or load a bullet into the chamber! Second amendment peeps, where you at?

HunterBidenPersecution

USAToday:

A federal appeals court on Thursday rejected Hunter Biden’s request to dismiss his gun charges in Delaware, clearing the way for a June trial. Biden's lawyer, Abbe Lowell, said he would keep fighting to dismiss the case. “In reviewing the panel’s decision, we believe the issues involved are too important and further review of our request is appropriate,” Lowell said in a statement S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika had refused to dismiss the charges against Hunter Biden, who allegedly lied about an addiction to drugs when buying a gun in 2018.

Hunter Biden then appealed with three arguments, including that he shouldn’t face a trial after a plea agreement fell apart last July and that prosecutors are being vindictive because of political pressure from Republicans to prosecute the president’s son.

Valerie Burde's avatar

I agree Trump should already be in jail. Certainly, he should be locked up for the attempted coup on January 6 and for stealing classified documents.

On a state level, he should be arrested for election tampering in Georgia. Everyone heard the tape.

Scott Dworkin's avatar

Exactly Valerie! 💯

Suzy Wolski's avatar

Why on earth isn’t he behind bars? He’s just not that special and he just keeps lying and committing more crimes!

Scott Dworkin's avatar

Exactly he ain’t that special

Valerie Burde's avatar

I understand what you are saying, Wayne. The President of the USA carries so much respect throughout the world. To imagine a hard core criminal in this office blows my mind. I am sure it does for most law abiding Americans. It goes against everything we have been taught. I fear that judges and officers of the court have such respect for the office and the law ( seems natural because they chose a life of protecting the law ) that they are subconsciously prosecuting a person who held the highest office in the land. I am not a professional but it may be a piece of why Trump is still not in prison. O

I would love to hear your thoughts...

Janet Brown's avatar

I wish he would just cease.

Suzy Wolski's avatar

To exist.

Linda Rosenstein's avatar

Yes he has been a very destructive and dangerous and evil person! Globally!

BmG's avatar

And personally. My little brother died a horrific death because of tRump’s lies and inaction.

Valerie Burde's avatar

I am so sorry. This has to be awful for you and your family.

BmG's avatar

Thank you Valerie. I hope you and your loved ones managed through the pandemic. 💖

BlueQueen's avatar

To talk, truth social, to breathe, to exist. All of these 👆🏻would improve America greatly.

DeeDee's avatar

That would solve it all

And maybe we would just say ok so he won’t be charged but he’s gone. It’s gonna happen and he won’t be charged.

Susan Wingate's avatar

He should've gone to prison decades ago. In my opinion, the 1/6 case should be tried sooner than later. But, yes, he should go to prison for his crimes. Like anyone else, any other criminal.

Openly Fae's avatar

Founders would have strung him up 7th January. Every day since then has been horrible white privilege.

DR JAGC's avatar

Never thought I would wish to live in the 1700s but here we are

BlueQueen's avatar

Yup. Here. We. Are. 1860’s…

Linda Rosenstein's avatar

And maybe drawn and quartered him as well!

Mrs. Vee's avatar

Since we are a nation of laws, he should have his day in court. Then assigned the appropriate punishment for the crime if found guilty.

The Congress people who participated in Jan. 6 and other obstruction to our Democratic process should also be prosecuted! I don’t understand how they can be allowed to run for office! This is a “slow” coup!!

Maribeth Lehane's avatar

Absolutely! I don’t know what everyone is afraid of. If he is in jail his threats to one and all should diminish with time. I can live with that. Jail him already!!!

Scott Dworkin's avatar

I agree. It’s ridiculous. Oh no some people will complain while most of America celebrates justice

Dan Roek's avatar

Make him spend a week in court wearing an orange prison jumpsuit and no orange makeup. That is something he would like to avoid.

Dan Roek's avatar

It's a consequence that he would respond to: a degradation of his public image

Sharon C Storm's avatar

Can you imagine him without hairspray? The hair in the back would hang down to his shoulders.

Jessie S.'s avatar

And no one on hand to create that hideous “hair do” of his each day. What would the rat bastard DO without his face makeup, his hair bleach, and his hair “stylist”? It would be strangely and satisfyingly delicious to witness that monster out of his ill fitting, off the rack suits, too. Stripped down to just an orange jumpsuit and his real face and hair.

Scott Dworkin's avatar

Someone steaming his suit while he’s wearing it lol

Kimmy's avatar

I value my vision and would be worried that image might cause permanent vision damage. As absolutely miserable as he looks now, that’s next level.

Jan's avatar

Pictures, please!

JeH's avatar

and no toupee

DR JAGC's avatar

I agree. How the HELL is this man about to be nominated as the republikkkan candidate? I mean, I just can't do this anymore. And Aileen Canon, SCOTUS, and Georgia? Can ANYONE else show him favor he doesn't deserve? In what world does an insurrectionist, classified documents thief, sexual predator, tax evader, and fraudster NOT be tarred and feathered for his crimes? But no, he's got judges and politicians bowing and scraping and keeping him from the justice ANY of us would've received within DAYS - not YEARS. January 6 was THREE years ago and he has faced ZERO justice. He had classified documents for THREE YEARS - military secrets STOLEN - and NOTHING. He threatens PRIVATE citizens and has caused them to go into hiding. He has threatened judges and prosecutors and they have to have security paid for by WHOM? Us. OMG. And the polls show him as close with Biden? He shouldn't even rate a PULSE in a poll. I feel like I'm losing my fucking mind over this.

Scott Dworkin's avatar

It is totally unhinged madness seriously. Thank you for understanding what I’m getting at. It’s maddening for real

DR JAGC's avatar

You know if he gets back to the White House - however that happens - we can't live here anymore. We will be in Nazi Germany. He will empower those J6 criminals as his personal Brown Shirts and they will walk the streets with their AKs. They will scour social media for dissidents and arrest us. My bachelor's was in history. I studied WWII extensively. As a college professor, the very theories that undergird my courses and teaching will be illegal in ALL states and not just FloriDuh. Praying Canada will take refugees

bluesyfish's avatar

Did you see Rachel Maddow's monologue about how he's already broken our judicial system? Someone else wrote that our judicial and legislative branches are Trumplicated and voting Biden and Dems in is the only way to combat this.

DR JAGC's avatar

I did. She was brilliant as always. But how can we even trust voting with what they tried to do last time? States will send fake electors and if the repukes have control of the house they will refuse to certify. IT's terrifying.

Donald Rettmann's avatar

Thanks to over-indulgent judges, a corrupt judge, a “supreme” court in trump’s pocket, and Garland’s fear of initiating prosecution until it was too late, trump has successfully delayed the three important trials until after the election. The justice system has failed miserably.

Scott Dworkin's avatar

There’s still hope but we have to beat him at the ballot box first

He’s not fit to clean the sewers! So dishonest!

Suzy Wolski's avatar

Exactly, they must be incredibly blind, deaf and dumb. They won’t let any truth in. I guess they never read how the Nazis got into the German government. Frankly Trump sounds so much like a Hitler.

Megan Prosser's avatar

100%. If only news outlets would take off the kids gloves and bring that reality to light.

Suzy Wolski's avatar

The only network that does take the gloves off is MSNBC and Trump has threatened to ruin them if he wins. They aren’t afraid to tell it like it is but they may be in danger from him. Freedom of speech is in danger with him!

Dazz Boomer's avatar

He is a very evil individual. He needed to be in prison a long long time ago. He has committed all sins. By Bible standards. I'm not a religious person. But he literally has. Why the maga cult followers can't see that is beyond me....

Christine K's avatar

I 100% agree with you. In addition, he is the very embodiment of the Seven Deadly Sins! And possibly the Antichrist.

PeggyStuart's avatar

He has broken ALL of the Ten Commandments, if you include the people who died because of his actions during the pandemic.

Scott Dworkin's avatar

So many people died because of his lies. Even just the simple face he refused to mail masks for free to every American. That killed people, surely.

Janine's avatar

And the insurrection

Kimmy's avatar

Even well before that… Charlottesville.

Suzy Wolski's avatar

Antichrist I think you’re right, like Hitler.

Erik S's avatar

It’s absolutely disgusting he is hawking an autograph version of the Bible… this man is no Christian by any standard…. It’s absolutely disgusting that religious types buy it right up.

Linda Dossett's avatar

They see it, but they think they can control the stage if he is elected. What they don’t grasp, is he only follows his own lead. He is true to no one. He is a snake oil salesman, who lines his own pockets at the expense of others.

Suzy Wolski's avatar

That Bible he had published was so phony , probably one of the only Bibles he’s ever touched. He didn’t fool anyone especially not God. But of course he doesn’t really believe in God, if he did he wouldn’t have published such a tacky item.

Shire Jansen's avatar

IRS has a 7 year audit window, so in light of the evidence in the NY trial this week that shows it is very likely that the election interference hush money was claimed as a business write off I am hoping the IRS audit team is looking into that. It would be delicious if tfg failure to divest from business interests upon taking the WH, which would have been the proper thing thing to do, leads to a conviction of the criminally charged candidate because of the evidence paper trail.

Patricia Callaghan's avatar

I agree. I will never understand why he wasn’t tried for attempting to overthrow an election. I will also never understand why an unprincipled, corrupt thug like trump is running for president.
