I think we need to file a huge class action lawsuit on behalf of the U.S. public as the White House and the Qatar Jet belong to the people of the United States…Golf Trips…

They are funded by the American People.

Quite true. The problem with the golf trips is that while the President is required to pay for all "personal expenses", his secret service detail is paid by the taxpayers. So, how do we get a law passed (which he will not obey anyway) to limit his golf outings?

I’m thinking the non-MAGA attorneys and judges out there might want to explore this.

Personally…I’m a retired public school educator but I’m thinking if he wants “buy” property from us…then he needs to pony up the cash (as well as any MAGA GOP, MAGA employee, etc…all need to be named in a massive lawsuit).

Everything they steal needs to be documented as our Nuremberg Trials will be coming.

As for the ballroom, that isn't his house to add on to. And why gold? It doesn't even match OUR White House. He says he's paying for it, but he's getting investors - which probably means he's chipping in a dollar, if anything at all. Let him use his D.C. hotel for a ballroom if he needs one so badly.

Meidas Touch did have a great article yesterday stating that changing the WH in such a way is violating several laws and regulations. It is on Federal property, it is maintained with taxpayer money - even if his buddies pay for it, our taxes have to maintain it. What about the WH Preservation, National Park Service. The WH is the Peoples House - not the personal property of whoever is occupying it at the time. We the People vs. DJT - could file a class action suit against this - and it should be for several billion. There are many great lawyers and governors and other officials who would aid in putting this together. If nothing else - it would give major attention to something most people would object to but don't even know about. It would delay the project - time is of the essence as it is scheduled to break ground in September. It would clearly break the symmetry and beauty of the WH by overpowering it and by the destruction of the East Wing (which has to be illegal.). It is NOT Trump's house - it is ours and it is owned by the government. So hopefully this action to sue him will take hold fast. Best part - it will make him furious.

Expand full comment
Denise Hall's avatar

Can the substack people find out the laws around this? Can the Midas touch lawyers get involved with stopping this? There's got to be proper people who can do more than just write or post articles. And the lawyers reading these articles can you get involved? If"they" have all their legal ( or illegal)!! Lawyers don't WE the People have some on our side? Words and memes don't mean anything - it's actions that truly count!!

Thanks for checking this out. We need to stop this if we can? No occupant of the White House should unilaterally be allowed to make this kind of major addition. I understand this "addition" will double the square footage of the building. Even if "donors" are paying for it, i.e. being shaken down to give bribes to this vanity project, consider the maintenance and cleaning cost for a building that has just doubled its size.

Also I have read that it will take three years to complete this project? If that is correct, Donald Trump will be out of office almost by that time.

Is this one more indication that he is planning on sticking around??
