The mainstream press hates Johnson even more than they hate Zohran Mamdani. As soon as he was elected, the MSM went ever him hard, then gloated when someone -- probably a Republican polling outlet-- released a poll that he was unpopular in Chicago (after having just won the mayoral election).

Chicago's where I grew up, and even though I no longer live in the area, I still keep my eye on things there.

One of many reasons I see no reason to download apps to read subscription articles. Much easier to read directly on the posting website.

Can someone explain to me what the purpose is of all of these apps other than another way to capture our info?

If I'm looking on the phone the app is a little easier to read. But I rarely use the phone for that (he said, replying on his phone).

But yeah, apps = Data Hoovers

LOL! I also read on my phone though I prefer the laptop. I find articles easy enough to read on my Android phone without an app, though.

Scott, like many Americans, I’m so tired of hearing Trump’s voice and seeing his hate filled face on television. Since it appears the GOP elected officials lack the backbone to use their constitutional right to stop him, we the people must do it. Although the news of his declining health is encouraging, we can’t wait for that to reach its ultimate conclusion. So I applaud Brandon Johnson’s efforts to keep his little hands off of Chicago.

As I wrote on my substack recently, waiting for him to die is no way to run a resistance. We need every Dem leader to become like Jasmine Crockett and Bernie (and Chris Murphy and a few others). DC Dems need to follow the lead of governors like Pritzker and Newsom.

It would be my preference, would give me hope, if every Mayor and every Governor would do the same. The creation of ICE was based purely on the malevolent myth of white supremacy. Now its vicious members get high salaries to brutalise and kidnap, plus quota bonuses. We are paying for their wickedness. America, revolt.

Chicago Mayor Johnson is protecting his city from our own government... Sad!!! At least he's had time to prepare, unlike Mayor Bowser in DC. He can see what's coming, setting up tactical contingents. Chicago folks aren't going to stand for a takeover!!! Tomorrow is a big day!!! Let's Rock it!!!!!
