Love love love the pictures. More people need to see them. Would MSNBC be willing to air them? Seeing the numbers of people protesting gives me hope and inspiration to continue the fight.

I noticed in a video, think it was Meidas Touch, that the Parliamentarian said the Senate couldn't put the destruction of the CFPB in the BBB. Senator Liz Warren was very happy. I suppose you could check on this by going to Senator Warren's social media account or perhaps her office site. The Senate also is doing a work around the closure of rural hospitals bc of the Medicaid cuts. Everything else is up in the air. Video also stated Senator Thune has no intention of disobeying the Parliamentarian. I guess no one is as brave as McConnell who once fired the Parliamentarian.

It’s been so inspiring to see the people who cannot walk that set themselves up along the way in groups to help with morale and to wave flags as they hold their signs for the cars driving by. Everyone counts even the cars that drive by and repeat the route doing their part because they can’t march. As long as everyone sees each other we all gain confidence and have done our civic duty

I would like to see Democrats currently in office show up more and respond to us more. Embrace the movement and acknowledge that it is indeed a movement!

I have participated in multiple protests in 2025 and the energy is impressive. The crowds are large, and larger each time. However, I feel the Democratic party acts like we are just background noise. Am I just misapprehending?

I completely agree. David Hoegg tried to modernize the leadership, and they kicked him out. There are too many democratic lawmakers who don't look much different from their GOP counterparts. This MUST change, enough of the mealy-mouthed, wishy-washy "moderates" who have nothing but their own interests in mind. We need those who fight for us, the people -- such as AOC and Bernie, and a number of others.

Last night, some commentator on MSNBC was comparing this movemet {which they referred to as the "No Kings" movement, but which I consider to be the PRO DEMOCRACY movement} to the Tea Party movement back in 2009 or whenever. It was miniscule compared to the kind of numbers we have, I think it was like tens of thousands total, but the republican party really took it seriously and saw the potential of it--and in fact, rode it til it turned into trumpism basically. There were Tea Party candidates. Will there be Pro Democracy candidates? I sure hope so, but it won't happen if the democratic party is too scared of people like John Fetterman or whoever.

I think there are new good leaders that are Democrats in elected office, and they take it very seriously. But I will let them speak for themselves in my upcoming interviews! I will be sure to ask them about this for sure!

I don’t think you are misunderstanding, but much of the problem is corporate media bowing to pressure from 47 to not air pro democracy news. When you start seeing daily protests on ABC, CBS and NBC, we will start hearing from them (at least I would hope so).

I am frustrated and very concerned I keep reading that the Democratic Oarty is falling apart, with no clear message, or charismatic leader. I am constantly calling reps and senators asking them not to vote for anything that enables 46’s agenda. There are democratic senators in favor of the Crypto bill. Why? This won’t help people working paycheck to paycheck. It will help the wealthy

There are other non budget items in the Bill that need to br removed; giving the President some control over elections and being able to decide if they are legal, 10 year ban on setting any rules for AI. This will give them control of our minds.

I have called about those ussues also. No noise from our legislative branch.

Our most charismatic leaders at this time are women. Our history implies that they won’t be elected to the top office.

What can we do to get the party to be more pro active, louder, and talk to the voters?

Thank you,

Judie Fay

Hi Judie-I will look into this more, I don't believe the Dem Party is falling apart, but I am sure there is some infighting with new leadership. Their fundraising numbers with grassroots were amazing I hear. Just one barometer on it all. They also are investing in special elections and going on the ground for them. Even if longshots. I will ask Dems I interview about this though, so they can speak on it!

I read a post by indivisible a couple of weeks ago. It listed a few hidden provisions that were thought to be in Trump‘s big beautiful bill.

1. One of them was that Trump would have the legal power to postpone or cancel the midterm elections.

2. Another had to do with banning LBGTQ rights including their speech, healthcare and significant rights.

3. Another one had to do with judges not being able to enforce their rulings.

4. And it would be legal for Trump to investigate and perhaps prosecute people for political disloyalty.

I immediately fired off an email to Senator ThomTillis, and ask him to confirm or negate whether or not these autocratic provisions were in Trump‘s big beautiful bill. I write Senator Tillis often, and usually get a response, albeit not many straightforward substantive answers. I did not get a reply from him on this particular request.

I contacted indivisible to ask the source of their information and they emailed back that they had taken the post down because they had not been able to confirm

it’s accuracy.

I am terrified, particularly, if the first one I listed having to do with Trump being able to cancel, our midterms, has any truth to it at all.

I have followed up with emails to Senator Tillis two additional times about confirming or negating these provisions. I have yet to hear from him on that particular topic in response to my questions as one of his constituents.

Have you or any of your sources had any information on these hidden provisions that may be lurking in Trump‘s big beautiful bill? I would appreciate a response if that is possible. I am frantic!

I have been to 3 rallies and an empty chair town hall. I also donate as much as I can afford. I will step up my involvement in the worthy fight for our democracy.

#1 is definitely not in there, he has no power to do that in this bill. It doesn't mean he wouldn't try, but I doubt he would be successful. The blowback on that would be astonishing. https://www.wral.com/story/fact-check-could-trump-delay-elections-if-congress-passes-the-big-beautiful-bill/22052948/

This fact check also clears up the other concerns, the one about judges is complicated:

I hope this helps Debbie!
