I grew up in the Bay Area with a front row seat to Vice President Harris's ascent. I am a huge fan and would trust her 100 percent to run the country. It would be a big honor.
Never pick a fight with a woman older than 40. They’re full of rage and sick of everyone’s shit. ~ Kate Blanchett. (It’s an meme, but Substack doesn’t support them, apparently.)
The attacks on VP Harris echo the attacks on Sec Clinton. Women who are as qualified, or more qualified than the men they are running against have to be “put in their place.” The smears, insinuations, and outright lies are so damn predictable that one should be able to just laugh and move on. Except that it is wrong, stupid, and ultimately very bad for our nation. I’ll take Harris over any ass-kissing, election denying, MAGA chucklehead that Don the Con chooses for his running mate.
Kamala Harris is extremely intelligent, competent and unafraid of what is thrown at her. My kind of girlfriend. She makes the Democratic ticket stronger. If the gop didn’t fear her they wouldn’t be talking about her.
VP not only has, along with her husband, helped shape inclusive domestic policies to ensure ALL Americans have the same access to equality of opportunity, but she’s hit the road a few times, including her college tour last year and her current Reproductive Rights tour. She regularly engages with world leaders and represents US interests globally. I agree with Scott Dworkin wholeheartedly!
When Haley said we’d have a President Harris, I thought “you say that like it’s a bad thing”…. She’s more qualified than anyone other than Biden himself.
We've all known this attack on VP Harris was coming and the racism and sexism behind it are typical of the Republican leadership, if I can actually use "leader" here. The Biden-Harris team is a proven winner both on the campaign trail and even more so in office. Support for both President Biden and Vice President Harris is genuine and unwavering. Thanks for stating this, Scott.
I have in the past three or four years come to the conclusion that our country would be better off if we only nominated and elected women to political office for the next two hundred years. I’m a nearly 82 year old man and I’m serious about this!
When Harris was AG here in California, I was always impressed by her. When some industry honchos were attempting to intimidate a town into a bad decision by using untrue information, concerned citizens called the AG’a office and asked for clarification and backup. Harris sent two very well-informed and astute staff people to the next town meeting who blew the lies out of the water. Kamala gets it done! She is an awesome VP!
Thank you for this post. I've been saying this privately for months. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies, falling for this shameless racism, sexist, agest nonsense. Of course, this is how the GOP would try to undermine us. We just have to stay the course and not be swayed. Biden and Harris are our best shots to win and given another four years.
I still can't wrap my brain around the fact that a candidate who says if he doesn't win, there will be blood in the streets, is who is serious competition is this America. I've been around a long time through a lot of political schinanigans, Nixon and all, and that still floors me.
Me too. The GOP no longer wishes to govern, in a democracy, so they resort to endless character assassination to gain power. We all know where the character issue really lies, we need only examine voter & witness intimidation, obstruction, coercion, stacking courts with synchophants, millions in emoluments and the nearly total conversion to a party to accessories after the fact.
Harris was my first choice in 2020. I made peace with voting for Biden because she was/is on the team. When people say a vote for Biden is really a vote for Harris my response is “Yeeeessss!”
It's bad enough - and predictable - when the GOP attacks VP Harris with the usual b.s. But it's pure idiocy when Democrats start b.s. about her leaving the ticket.
VP Harris is a great asset and certainly more than ready and capable to be in the Oval Office.

Bay Area for 60 years and completely agree.
Bay Area since 1977. Couldn't agree more!
Thank you for this, Scott!!! ❤️
You’re welcome Kathi thanks for reading!
Never underestimate the power of women who are tired of the bs.

Exactly! VP Harris would be a force to be reckoned with should she become President. Do NOT underestimate her.

My thoughts exactly.

Thanks for your comment Laura. You’re so right. There is no “leader” in the GOP. Not a good one.

Is there even a MAGA republican who thinks they can beat her in a debate?
They may think so since they’re delusional
Just like all those guys who are convinced they could beat Serena Williams.

Vice President Harris is thoughtful and genuine. She is an asset. There is so much to brag about the Biden Harris team.
IMO I think the Republicans who follow Trump are narrow minded, racists and want to take the freedoms of people away just like their leader.
I say GO BLUE!
This is what I’ve been waiting to see
👍👍

Well said Richard
I am in awe of Kamala Harris and hope to live long enough to see President Harris. After Biden's second term, or course.
Thank you Scott! Lift our women up! Kamala is Amazing and the 1st to do this. Supportive environments foster better results than fear and division.
